well.. the concepts in themselves are good and pretty imaginative, but to be brutally honest that site is awful. It uses bright blue times new roman font and a background image. It seriously, seriously needs re-designing, but with a new design it'll be quite the art site.

All the blue hurts my eyes, and its hard to read text. Also think when people submit concepts how the backround will contrast. I think you should go with a more neutral, and more earth toned backround. White, Black, or a Dark cream.
Think ahead, and think how people want to see it.

Thanks for the suggestions though But it doesnt matter how the heck the site looks, what matters is the work submitted on the site, because you dont go there to check the site, you go there to check the concepts, right? So no credit to me for the site, the credit should go to the concept artists who wanna submit their concepts to my site.

NSArmslab, thats overdone, its just annoying to watch that damn string going from right to the left, and that wierd menu which wont work on any of my computers except for this one that I use, neither does it work on my girlfriends computer. Thats a horrible site, mine is plain, simple, and easy to use, I dont care about look, what matters is (once again.) function and ability.

you're blowing this way out of proportion, we're saying that if you redesigned the site it'd be a valuable asset to the ns community, yet now you're having a hissy fit. I never said the backgrounds were blue, i said they were purple >_>. The purple will wear on the eyes, if you want something thats easier to look at try like a pale brown/earthy colours

Having a concept site is a good idea, but The site is well, its... Not something that i would like to see, but ehm, if you like it, you shouldn't argue with all the people here that just tells you what to improve, doesn't matter HOW they say it, they eventually say it, and you should just pay attention, no-one meant to hurt you, its like when your a modeller and you spend 3 hours into a weapon model, and people only say what to improve, and ur tired because you worked on it so hard, and you don't have the power to change or fix anything becausse you think it is perfect, balhdsgkadgasdga, god, thats the longest comment i have ever posted, if something doesnt make sense sorry, my head hurts.

I like the site, I've spent alot of time figuring out how to fix those icons, and get a background that I like, and even though I say its 85% finished, ppl still tell me how damn messed up it is.
But I erased the whole site and replaced it with something that everyone can understand, and hopefully bare with.

listen, the idea behind this site is that lots of people will visit it so that they can get ideas for models, right? it doesn't matter if YOU like it, it matters if the MODELER likes it. If they don't like it they might just leave outright, meaning that the site doesn't get a chance to fill its purpose. the new site you put up is actually much better, you just gotta get a layout going

Yes, your site is awful, but with work it could have been better. As Big Bull suggested, subtle earth tones would be a lot more pleasing to the eye and look a lot more professional. That's the nature of those colours, they're supposed to be easy on the eye. I'd also suggest a font such as Verdana or Tahoma.

When you watch a Concept, its with a white background, and then you save the concept onto your PC and watch it from there, thats why i've made purple backgrounds on the concepts.
Im not a professional homepage editor, so thats what I can do for now, and thats how it will be, aight?

But it doesnt matter how the heck the site looks, what matters is the work submitted on the site, because you dont go there to check the site, you go there to check the concepts, right? So no credit to me for the site, the credit should go to the concept artists who wanna submit their concepts to my site.

I never said the backgrounds were blue, i said they were purple >_>. The purple will wear on the eyes, if you want something thats easier to look at try like a pale brown/earthy colours

The site is well, its... Not something that i would like to see, but ehm, if you like it, you shouldn't argue with all the people here that just tells you what to improve, doesn't matter HOW they say it, they eventually say it, and you should just pay attention, no-one meant to hurt you,

Well I know your problem there, the problem is that none here has no respect at all for other ppl's work, all they want is something thats perfect for them, but they doesnt care for the creator, that has to do everything for everyone else, and nothing that he likes himself.
I like the site, I've spent alot of time figuring out how to fix those icons, and get a background that I like, and even though I say its 85% finished, ppl still tell me how damn messed up it is.
But I erased the whole site and replaced it with something that everyone can understand, and hopefully bare with.
And yes, another thread going down in flames, but thats my hobby, sure..

he's right you know... You can ask for help designing it at the artwork forums, as its a site for ns that will hopefully get them new models, i'm sure they'll be glad to help you..

actually i run 3 sites, so i find i don't have the time to make a site for concepts.
