But anyway, seeing a bunch of people mentioning HLSR being responsible for the HLR release fiasco, i did a little googling and found <a href='http://www.planethalflife.com/features/articles/rallywars/' target='_blank'>This article on PHL</a>. It's about the history between HLR and HLSR (Half-Life Street Racing). It's quite an interesting read.

    Well, sure it's all a pretty messy situation, but it is admittedly quite interesting to read. I'm not sure how i missed this one, actually. Ever since i played Quake Rally back for Q1, i've always been looking out for Rally mods, hell, any mod that's in any way innovative, so when i saw Half-Life Rally i tried to keep up with it. God knows how i missed it.

    I'm assuming within 24 hours of when it was delayed due to the hacking. Just played the TDK, and I can't imagine how much better (not that the TDK was that bad) the release is.

    I'm hoping that the TDK is a far cry from the actual game, because it's a pretty poor race mode as itself, I thought. I'd rather do Halo Rally races.

    Well, if it's anything like NS 1.0 and FA 2.6 you should be able to play it with them...

    Edit: Haw haw. It loaded, then it crashed in STEAM. I don't have regular HL installed...someone try with that.

    There's about 7 mirrors for dedicated server downloads and the mod is included in an .exe.

    There's some lag and fps issues, and listen servers run slow as hell, but it's fun when it works. Definentley makes me forget I'm playing Half-Life.


    Half-Life is probably the best $30 investment I've made in my life.
