April 29th issue of PC Zone (UK mag), but no doubt every other major mag and online site will have similar info.

Teaser states they're saying they went to Valve and actually PLAYED Half-Life 2, and that they have all kinds of new info on the game + screenshots to prove it.

Hopefully it'll be some good news...

edit: i think it shows the level of valve's screw-up that i can really just wait for april 29th. and if i dont see a post with it, id probably forget

Same tactics as the year before; saturate the magazines in a media blitz leading to E3. Should be excellent, PC Zone Uk had excellent HL2 coverage last time.

Meh.

If Valve _really_ didn't want the info getting out they wouldn't have allowed the magazine to see stuff, would they? PC Zone is simply using the idea that they are *gasp* <i>Leaking</i> *shock & awe* -<b>TOP SECRIT</b>- *ooooh* <i>information </i>*woo* to gain more sales and lend "underground credibility" to their article. Its all just posturing and clever (or not so clever) marketing ploys.

me. I'll wait until the 29th (and even then probably won't care).

When it comes out great. until then, why get worked up.

I'm sure that was sarcasm, or a joke of some form.

C&VG & PC Zone, while they are **** who make you register on their site for crap, are pretty well respected mags, not the type that do stuff like break NDAs (*cough* GameStar *cough*)

And besides that there would be many, many legal reprecussions of such a move as well...

No doubt its just a bit of marketting at work...

all i really know is some of the characters, weapons, and enemies. I didn't even see the E3 moves...

although i didnt look at the cover image for more than half a second, im pretty sure that would be the date that the magazine is coming out. HL2 doesnt have a date.

Well they might very well be, not counting the VALVe staff. HL2 beta didn't get leaked, not an alpha either, just a haxxored togheter stolen stuff version.

I, personally, wouldn't get all that excited if they posted a screenshot for every single area of the map, of every weapon, every person, etc. If I can't play the game (yet), what's the purpose of drooling over it?

I heard that in HL2, Freeman dies! But he has a retarded daughter that takes his place, but then falls in love with a strider and has many strider/human hybrids and proceeds to conquer the cosmos. Then the infuriated Freeman comes back from the grave, bites a few million people and start a huge massive cheap budget film zombie movie and everyone lives happily ever after CHEESE!
