Half Life ! Game can still look pretty good with nice textures, although the animations lack most of the time, I like it a lot mostly because of the HUGE amount of mods. Oh and it runs on everything from everthing after a P1.

Once HL will be crowned best game evar, where does this leave us? Still begging for HL2? Maybe valve will get something out of this whole title fight thing...
I finally voted for Super Mario Brothers 3... Here are my reasons.
A Vote For Nintendo: I own 3 Nintendo Entertainment Systems(NES), Two Super Nintendos, A Game boy, game boy pocket, gameboy color, gameboy advanced, gameboy SP, N64 and the Game Cube, as well as Super Mario (Brothers) 1, 2 ,3 World, and All-Stars. As well as Super Mario (Land) 1 and 2, (Advanced) 1 and 2, Sunshine and Paint. I have played "Mario is Missing!" but I have yet to play Luigi's Mansion(Or whatever its called). I am a huge Zelda fan(Played almost all of them). I also have a ton of various Nintendo console games...
A Vote For Mario: Because he made Italian Plumbers "cool", lol. Actually because he is the mascot I will know for the rest of my life until death. When I was just a boy my favorite show was the Super Mario Brothers Super Show.
A Vote For Super Mario Brothers 3: It is my favorite Super Mario game of all time, right beside Super Mario Brothers 2.
A Vote For Myself: I "Had" Mario Brothers bedsheets, but I lost them. I wish I could find them...
I voted for Super Mario Brothers 3, just because I've always loved console games twenty million times more than PC games (save for Doom, only about 2x there). Thing that keeps me on the PC is MODs and internet play, which give so much replay value I don't have to buy a new game. I'm a cheap, cheap man.
Redeemer, excuse my lack of knowledge, but I can understand having one of each game boy... Maybe even having twice the same console if you change places and would like to have one in your home + another location you often live in... But that's insane! 3 NES's??? Do you... play on 3 of them?
Super Mario might have been one of the funniest game in the world , but its life span was so limited , regardless of the quantity of 2D worlds to explore. It's always been single player , you never had Mario vs Bowser in a stomping / fireball throwing contest.
It kills me that Doom lost to SMB3 , Doom is still the best single player FPS ever , with monsters able to hunt you down , get in your way , or kill each other. The first multiplayer FPS , where people could tear each other apart with chainsaws and blow themselves up with rocket launchers.
It's the ancestor of NS , the first game to exploit the player's subconscious fears to add to the excitment of the carnage... a demon's growl is still as frightening as a skulk's chuckle. If you're frustrated by today's games , remember to play Zdoom once in a while...
Of course , HL is the best game of the world for now. HL single player is just as exciting as Super Mario , but HL multiplayer is everlasting fun.
And don't mess with the flying baby (whose actual name is Nihilanth), it can shoot teleporter... things... and, um, well, it can speak English...
In conclusion, shut up <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
With d00m you could make your own levels; SMB 3 just had you go down either of two paths: 1) get the first whistle, warp to the next place with a whistle, repeat until you're near the last level or 2) Go through the game in a near-linear (You still progress level 1 -> 2 even if you went level 1c instead of level 1b) fassion in it's totality
Thus it's a shock for me to know that DooM was beaten by Mario.
I'd login and vote for HL, but one more vote wouldn't matter...
