<div class="IPBDescription">To many living things in my house!</div> My house got a new kitten yesterday, and she is awesome. She is called Alice (although I call her Dobbyn, named after an Austrlian sity I randomly picked on a globe) and she is VERY awesome. And this now means my house has WAAAY to many living things in it. 4 cats, 1 dog, 6 people. It's like a powederkeg of mammalian proportions. KITTENS RULE!

I dunno if I'll end up getting a cat when I get my apartment or not. I wish you could have one that didn't shed and didn't poop...
and DOOM, if you have a backyard or neighbours the poop part should clear itself out.
Allrighty. Time to go pump some iron to regain some of the testosterone that just ran screaming from my body.
Yeah you know what I'm talking about.
My cat would totally smack that dog up. She's ten years old, she's tiny, she's got an attitude and she's grouchy. Your dog would have no eyes before it even saw her. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
They sure do...
Put it like this - provided the cat gets all four paws tied together and the dog wears protective clothing for its nose, it <i>might</i> stand a chance.
Seriously, if I have the choice between an animal that sticks with me out of mere hierarchical instinct, and one that stays out of genuine sympathy (and the fact that there are no can openers operational by paws), I know what to choose.

cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Cat's aren't as 'needy' as dogs; they clean themselves, will feed themselves and don't need to be taken out on walks. Course we feed ours anyways, but if they're hungry and it's not feeding time they just go find a living bite to eat instead of bugging us about it ^^;
Cats are like flatmates, dogs are more like children really... if you want an equal the kitty is the best choice, doggies are mainly for those who like looking after something, though different breeds need less or more attention than others =D
They sure do... <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
dogs rock all!

EDIT: pfft gem, dogs are for huggling, cats are for watching. If you want to hug a cat, it will try to run away, while a dog will happily jump up and lick you in the face.
Especially small dogs.
Heck, sometimes they even come meowing to me for cuddles ^^
<b>edit:</b> licking your face? ewww... you remember what a dog also licks with it's tongue right? XD
Doesn't everyone? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I don't what you're talkin bout man, Cats are infinitely more cuddly than dogs. My cats will curl up and sleep with you if they're not grumpy, my dog just sits there and wags its tail and siggles a lot and breathes really loudly and crushes your rib cage while you try to sleep. Ech.
And Gem's cats sound like they rock more than life.
A Woman had a cat, every day at the same time she fed the cat.
This Woman also had a dog. Every day at the same time she fed the dog.
Now the dog said after a few months, "This lady feeds me and takes care of me, she must be God!"
The cat says to itself, "This lady feeds me and takes care of me, I must be God."

Genuine sympathy? You know, when people die and no one is there to feed the cat it will quite often munch on the corpse, that's how affectionate cats are. They don't like you they just tolerate you, and sometimes barely that.
...and clowns will come for the leftovers.
As for dogs being so loyal, if there was a nuclear war or something it wouldn't take long for your doggy to start trying to eat you just out of survival lol.
Honestly, the 'cats are evil' thing is just a stereotype too. I've seen dogs that are complete jerks and totally unloyal while our cats are actually very loving... all the cats we've ever had have been; probably because we bring up our pets right =3
