<div class="IPBDescription">Random renaming extension for firefox</div> I was reading <a href='http://www.slashdot.org' target='_blank'>/.</a> earlier today and saw <a href='http://slashdot.org/articles/04/03/27/0250250.shtml?tid=126&tid=154&tid=95' target='_blank'>this article</a>. I figured it would just be a simple plugin to let original Phoenix and Firebird fans change the Firefox name back. But no...it's much more fun than that <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
It comes with three default lists of words (company name, prefix, and postfix). They start with just Mozilla, adjective-like prefixes, and animal names for postfixes, but you can add whatever you want. Then whenever you start Firefox the top bar will randomly select among these. Right now thanks to the additions I've made to the lists I'm in Fidelity Investments Moonanemone. If I open another instance of it I could be in Microsoft Moonpony or Mozilla Spaceyak.

No need for the "wall of anti-ban," this actually made me laugh because it shows me how much more attention I give to my programming classes instead of my English classes <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
what in sam hill is a warthog?
Mozilla Napalmpuma
Copyright me, of course. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
And this'd almost be enough to tempt me away from full-on Mozilla, except for the cut-down configuration options in FF. (Well, at least *I* can't find a good chunk of the stuff I use daily.)
Of course, a lot of Web designers have taken to using Firefox, prompted by the surge in CSS technologies, so theyre keeping it looking pretty slick.
And the reason for the bloat is that the binaries of Mozilla come with a metric buttload of debugging trackers turned on. Slows it down, as well as EATS memory. With a quick recompile, turning all those options off, it becomes faster than Opera. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Anyhow, lets not argue. Heres a moonpanda to settle the arguement (but in the style of a Firefox icon <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> ). Its rather hard to make a panda look like a panda, by the way. And yes, if anyone would like to know, this is one thing I do in my forum breaks. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Sadly, I'd have to agree. Most people just use what they're handed. Which is why most people use IE. <rimshot>

Bit like Diablo 2 boss monster name generations. Such as Puke Fist the Sharp. Fire Fox the Browser.
