There's 4 minutes left on my download but I doubt i'll get around to using the program until tommorow. I'm currently playing with static meshes in UnrealED (for UT2004).
Is this Softimage|XSI only for character renders of can weapons and environment objects be done with it too?
*Goes to official site to do some reading up on wth he's been downloading*
I confused XSI ( which is pwn <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) with Houdini ( which is HARD ).

Just finished installing and reading through the list of restrictions this has compared to the full. Would've been nice to be able to model for more than just HL2 (uh...hl1, anyone?) but it should still be fun to toy around with.
Plus I'll be able to delude myself into thinking my dual-monitor setup makes me a professional right off the bat <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
For just about everything other than games, I use Linux and Mac OS X, you see. Games are the only reason I keep a Win98SE installation on my PC. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Softimage full version -> About 20000 US dollars <i>to rent.</i>
And no, i'm not kidding.
Download it now before they make you pay! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

This might not be the place to ask, but anyone know how to put a picture in the backround so I can copy everything exactly like the picture but with the polygons? I know some HL modellers do it for weapon models, but that's for 3DsMax.
