Different Races Playing Natural Selection

I had quite an interesting experience last night playing Natural Selection 2.0. Two persons from Hong Kong came on a server, and started talking Cantonese (they couldn't really speak English) over voice chat. Being from Hong Kong myself, I was able to communicate with them freely, and translate what they were saying to the other players on my team. Instead of working through this problem with two languages playing on the same team, the "english" players proceeded to calling us racists names, telling us to stop playing Natural Selection, and then finally muting us.
I was quite shocked by this act from these players. Shouldn't we be giving these players some respect for trying to play this game, instead of "flaming" them the instance they speak another language other than "english"?
Be nice to different races playing Natural Selection, even if they can't communicate with you proper. Work through this problem, and never resort to racism.
Note: Also, just wanted to know, just how many Asians play this game? Would be pretty cool if we could have a server where a large majority of Asians play <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Just avoid the idiot-filled servers like the one you were on.

It's just polite, when you go somewhere that no one speaks your language, to not throw it in thier face. I understand that these guys didn't speak english, but on an englished based server, they should at least be trying to explain thier situation.
NOW WTH ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? ENGLISH MOTHA FUDGA! Well I'm black and indian, yes the mother of all mixed people (as sM|Ranger) would like to put it. I see a lot of racism going on lately towards blacks and such but I don't pay attention to it. Mostly just moron people making smart comments like "WAZZUP ICE CUBE?! DONT BUST A CAP IN MEH ****!" I play with koreans to and have a good time. There is also a Taiwanese server up and a Hong Kong one, also a Singaporean. Yes it seems NS is taking the world under its own like flies owning a turd.
Seriously though, my best friend just came from hong kong like 2 years ago, so I hate racism as much as anyone else. Nothing apalls me more than someone who is intollerant of other people.

Hmm, the abuse obviously is a no-no but the muting, well i'd have to agree with what someone said earlier.

I host a Hong Kong based server, called the Evolution Chamber (218.252.180.20:27010), perhaps you'd like to drop by some day. In fact, you might have even played on it before.
And yes, it is all Asian, where Cantonese (and also mangled English) flows freely.
you know? I see these neo-racist folk (I mean young ones, mostly) as d00ds who can't get it up, or can't get a girl, don't get out much, and/or are just basically mind-****, so, frustrated and <i>scared</i> at life, they go off against anything different than their own similarly **** up peers...
that's basically it... not much more to it, really... racists are ignorants, and, as such, should just be ignored, and, if violent, condemned or worse...
another thing: I'm a north-italian descendant (great-grandparents) who was born and currently lives in Argentina... nowadays, Argentina has been appearing more and more on bubbled up ignorants' map, but when I lived in USA for 4 years, kids (8-9th graders) would think I was an indian and we lived in teepees n' stuff...
I always thought those same ppl, who could be any one of you in these forums reading this, were the true indians... technology means nothing, if you know nothing of life and the world...
this, I think, is another form of racism... a mild form, more related to xenophobia or conformism or brain-washedism, but it all leads to racism/xenophobia all the same...

Really though... you can't expect the world to be some kind of weird Utopia where everybody likes everybody else no matter their race, gender, politics, economics, physical appearance, smell, or brand of shoes. I'm not saying its right, by any means... but its going to happen eventually and you will simply have to deal with it.
If only everyone learned to do as I do... simply don't give a flying f***. That solves about 98% of my problems... the other 2% can usually be handled with a Louisville Slugger or duct tape.... or both <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo--> (Kids don't try this at home!)

If the server does have an english-only rule, it's polite to follow it. Personally i've found it extremely distracting in the past to play NS with people talking in spanish, german or french over voice comms, so i politely just ask that they speak english or don't speak. Muting's only really necessary if they don't stop.
On several occasions, however, i have been completely and utterly flamed by people in languages foreign to me because i requested they spoke English (This was a UK server where there's an english-only language rule), i know they were flaming me because i recognised a number of obsceneties and my nick in the line. Remember, if you get asked nicely not to spam comms in a language not native to the server, please have the decency to do so, it can, as i said above, be very distracting for other players.
Many servers have rules such as "SPEAK ENGLISH ONLY". I hope no-one thinks this counts as racism...its just more practical, and I agree.

Theres nothing more i hate; racists and cheaters in that order. In fact, if presented with the oppotunity to push one of them off a cliff to a slow painfull death; i would choose the racist hands down.
Why?
Any grown person would know that the world is in a seriously short supply of legitimately interesting people. If you only associate with a certain ethnic group, you're cutting your chances of meeting a non-idiot into a fraction.
I meet too many stupid whites, blacks, asians, indians, and native americans to discriminate. If you can think for youself and don't regurgitate what TV said, <i>I love you.</i>
