Thas basically where I am up to, I know its baron of features on teh main bulf of the gun, and I need to bevel most of the edges, but the stock if finished and the barrel + grip is complete too.
Plse I know its a gun thats been done before, and im sure loooooooads have got copies of it, but flood me with ideas of how to make it look more in-line with NS instead of how you modelled urs.
Polycount so far is 1000

Like all my other models I have done nothing happend to it cuz I dont know how to mesh/uvmap...
Anyway lets talk about the model this topic is about so that im not getting accused for hijacking <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
and not bad to the original topic starter too, however 1k is way too high for that little detail. Reduce the faces in the butstock, you can make it look round without having that many (i see around 50 on that side, so probably about a 100 there). Not bad work though mang
nottingham that thing pwns me <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Note before I say this, this is just constructive criticism, and I realize its a WIP.
First off, the stock needs to be done a LOT better. Having a simple oval end is poinless, if not just plain annoying(even though we won't see it). The main trigger-grip is 2-d, make sure you fix that up. I like the front grip, good job with it. If anything, I'd make it look less skinny, make it look like it can kick some arse.
Nottingham: FIND SOMEONE TO FINISH THAT MOFO!

very nice model <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Polycount is 1533, a little high but I think acceptable? With minimal Backfaces it is as efficient a polycount as I can get.
I will be UVW mappin, as soon as I learn how to with 3D Max 5.. and we we'll see for there. then I hope to modify and do a more NS'y type version.
Btw what size should the overall gun be? I think I may have produced a massive model so an approximate set of dimensions would be helpfull ...
