Well, I was listening to a random remix of william hung's "she bangs" while watching this, anyway though, honestly the whole thing seemed pretty whack.
I was throwing the trailer around a day or two ago, and i must say it's looking to be the scariest Silent Hill game to date. It's definately creepier, and it looks to be just as good.
I'm definately waiting for this one to be released.

Well, SH3 wasn't all that frightening... but I still can't play 1, or even make it to the town in SH2 (walking through a forest alone... through a graveyard alone... along a deserted road ALONE... in FOG.. and you know there are zombies and you have no weapon and...)
If you want a really scary game though, play Fatal Frame.

You know the part in the VERY BEGINNING of Fatal Frame, where you approach the gate, lightning strikes, and you see enemies all around you for a split second? Yeah... I turned it off right there, returned it.
Edit: Silent Hill 3 was pretty bad too... the alternate worlds creeped the HELL out of me, especally the hospital.

SH3 had a much better story which wrapped itself up nicely, with lots of links to SH1.
But as to Fatal Frame (Otherwise known as Project Zero, here in the UK), I worship the ground that game walks on, so to speak. Great story, great graphics and probably the scariest game ever created. It's the only game to have ever actually scared me properly. SH2 + 3 may have disturbed me a little, or made me jump occasionally, but there is one place in Fatal Frame i will not walk through because of one time i got attacked there by some floating head... *shudder*. Also, it's the only game to actually send cold shivers up my spine... now THAT is how to make a scary game.
Anyway, Fatal Frame 2: The Crimson Butterfly is available right now in the US, i believe, and should see a release date in the UK within the next 2 months. PS2 (*EDIT: And Xbox, iirc) only, i'm afraid.

Looks like the scariest game to date, and that's not saying much. Do all Silent Hill games look like this? Might be worth the rent, but aren't 2 and 3 for PS2? And I don't have, so I'll just play the first.
Wow, that was one of the scaryest things to ever be played on this computer. And was it just be or did I see the thing that allows the Event Horizen to fold space in that video?

Man one thing that bugged the hell out of me about those games is the constant hospital. In EVERY game its the same damn hospital and every time i get stuck there.

Of course, there's always Resident Evil 4, which also looks incredably scary as well.
