Game Questions

Right i got a couple of game questions. After i get the insurance money for the burglary thing, I figure i wont bother replacing the games and movies and just get a rippin computer. Things i need to know though. Is Battlefield 1942 Pay to play? Is the new Unreal Tournament game pay to play? Is it worth jetting a joystick for the Mechwarrior games and flying games?

Battlefield 1942 is NOT Pay to Play.

basically a rule of thumb, if a game plays multiplayer on dedicated/ non dedicated servers of 128 or less they arnt p2p. (usually)

Neither of those games are PtP. I've found that its easier to use a mouse to aim and snipe in MechWarrior 4, but I suck terribly at that game. If you get BattleField 1942 make sure you download Desert Combat (I think the current release is 0.7F) mod. If you wanna be a fighter jock in BF, though, you MUST have a joystick.

A joystick makes the almost impossible task of learning how to control the helicopter in Desert Combat slightly easier. It's quite exciting when you are flying a black hawk low over a city while get shot (by small arms)at and your gunners firing away so that you can land safely on a roof to drop your passengers.

Half the time you get shot down by rockets though.

That massive plane with lots of artillery and miniguns built into it is quite fun too.

if you're gonna get a joystick, you also have to buy IL-2 Sturmovik, which is argued as the best WW2 fighter out there.

Ace, thanks. When BF Vietnam comes out I garuntee that all im gonna do is man the 60 on the side of a chopper.

Yeah BF:V is gonna pwn. It comes out in 2 weeks!

If you already own BF1942 though, check out <a href='http://www.planetbattlefield.com/eod/' target='_blank'>Eve of Destruction</a>, which is pretty similar to what BF:Vietnam will be. It rocks.
