Actually thos bars on the first pic look a bit odd, a bit more detail need their. Somthing to fill in the gap, its looking a bit plain just on that point.
I agree it does look eary (thats if i can spell it :/) and nice tooch with the barrels

Definitely, perhaps even going beyond Resident Evil's general unease into the horrific territories of Silent Hill.
Excellent stuff, more maps need to get their act together and include some lovingly interwoven custom content.
1) in the hive shot those hazard stripes along the ceiling seem kinda unnecessary, unless you have lift operators or giants working in the area no one will hit their heads on a ceiling.
2) The pipe in the hive area goes through the grating cleanly. I'd say put a flange on the pipe where it goes through the grating. That just seems to make more sense to me and it makes it look like the grating is better supported.
Other than that, I hope I can map like that someday.
Rating: two pwns up and a pb&j sandwich (or any kind of sandwich that you like)
My clan Server will be running this in a week or so when it's in beta state, I'll hand out the IP then. Glad everyone likes it! More pictures coming... I'm re-compiling currently.

I gained valuable stuff from his post, he clearly said that the spotlights needed more pitch and the Hive area more infestation. I mean, "Cool" was really quite informative!

It's an effect of my gamma settings, sadly I can't do anything about it.

lava... hmm maybe we need an more red and dark lava texture since the gamma ramp does weird things indeed.

i've played with lava quite a bit and have also dissliked the brightness of it. all you've got to do is put a 1unit thick func_wall over it. rendermode = texture fxamount = 100. cover it in null, and then on the top tex it with "black" from the HL.wad. VIOLA!! a nice un-blinding bit o' lava. make sure you stretch the black or it will do bad things to r_speeds.
