<div class="IPBDescription">Monse and his crazy PR titles.</div>Just to let everyone know who doesn't visit the <a href="http://www.readyroom.org" target="_blank">Readyroom</a> often that you should check out today's news post. An interesting PR blurb about the underground training idea that has been discussed thoroughly throughout testing. For a quite link to the actual site here it is: <a href="http://guides.readyroom.org/" target="_blank">NS Guides</a>
This is completely done out of volunteerism and it's entirely made for you!

Questions like that are Fam's department.
Hopefully this will not only work in theory but in reality.
Well, the manual should be released BEFORE the game is, so you will have time to read it! I think every loyal NS fan will read the manual twice through, maybe more. Once you hop in the game for the first time, that's when it all matters.
What's that, I haven't played the game yet?
It would be interesting to see how many people could survive the 'Sink or swim' trial. ^^
yes, I noticed that the second I left my thread. Before making it I made it I made a quick scan of the front page (mainly expecting a sticky) and didn't see a related thread. Also, I check rr fairly often, so I felt I was getting the info rather quickly, which is somewhat hard to tell since rr only reports date and not time on a new entry.

You should come by the IRC room more often. Whenever MonsE is in an updating kind of mood, he's usually in the channel getting us all pumped up and waving tender meaty strips in front of our salivating mouths.
Or something. Make up your own analogy.
INDEFEL!
CHAR IN HECK WHILE BEING SLIGHTLY IRRATED BY <b>PHIL</b>!, THE PRINCE OF INSUFFICIANT LIGHT!
Or something...

Hurrahh!
The plan is for me to never need one of these guides, I am a forumer and thus knowledgable in all things NS... or something.
Do you get fired as an NS guide if your frequently owned by newbies?
i though u meant the manual <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->
No, I don't think we could ever really fire Fam and Comprox.
You will die now Mole, oh yes.

Oh wait, EGC h4x sux0r. EC > u.

Maybe in the future I'll be able to hook the guides into NS more officially (with the ability to vote down commanders, changemaps, etc).
If I were a server op, I certainly wouldn't want random people I've never met to mess with the gameplay on my server.
None of the guides are random people, and none of them ever will. Currently, all of them are playtesters, and respected community members. This will also go with every future guide.
There would of course be an override var that Server Ops could set to prevent that, if such code were included.
