You have to be an absolute IDIOT to flip off customs agents. When you're in their offices, they have you by the balls, no matter who you are [unless their government has issued a free right of passage for you]. The same thing would happen here. Customs agents are stressed out, just like postal workers. The amount of pressure their government puts on them is immense.

You don't go shouting obscenities at a postal worker. Same for customs agents, except they have attack dogs and bigger guns.

I feel so ashamed to bring this topic back again, but didn't have time to write my opinions cause I didn't have internet for a week.

The guy was pretty stupid on doing that. I mean, no matter what country you go, if you do that, you'll get arrested. Sure, he be against this, but hell, don't show the middle finger. Go and complain with the media, or something like that. What he did was plain stupid.

Also, I can understand why the US is doing this fingerprinting ****. Terrorism is starting to get pretty bad around the world, and the US is probably the main target. However, there is one thing that I disagree. WTH are the doing that to more than half of the world?!?! I mean, they excuse a country, for example, Britain just cuase it's more develpoed and cause they supported them in the war against Iraq. I mean, it is mor probable that a terrorist from Britain would go to the US than a Brazilian. I mean, why would Brazil attack the US? The last war Brazil fought was WWII, only because it was being threatned by the US (that's another story though). In Britain, you have much more people who support the terrorists and actually commit terrorism. What about the Amricans who support terrorism? It's more likely that they get attacked from inside.

I'm a Brazilian, and I do find what Brazil is doing kind of lame, but I do understand why the government is doing this. I mean, for you to go through some fingerprinting process just cause of your nationality is freaking ridiculous, eventhough I understand why they do that. You also feel extremely embarassed when that happens. I mean, once I went to Chile with a group from school cause of a competition, and the teachers (who where Americans) had to pass through two customs officers. I could tell by the look of their faces how they where ****-off and how they felt embrased, cause everyone was looking at them and all.
The fingerprint thing makes Americans feel what the world feels, eventhough most of them are not snobish people and they are actually quite cool. What gives the US a bad reputation are people like that **** of a pilot, and that **** of Bush (sorry for all of his supporters, but I HATE HIM)

It's ironic that most of the people here who say he deserved what he got have said it with obscene language. Granted, it was censored.
