Hehe thats the same thing a mate of me said about the keyboard. His advice was: your map is dark, evil and athmospheric... but the keyboard, it doesnt fit the theme, I'll try to change it to fit the theme. There is also a light shining on it so maybe thats it.
The sky box sucks... Hmm, cant do much with this info, well at least your honest <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> But it will help me more if you would tell me what sucks about it. Playtesting (if I work really hard on it) could be within 1 or 2 weeks from now. Otherwise keep 3 to 4 weeks in mind, still keep your fingers crossed since I still need to find the time...
Thats looking seriously good. If you need any custom effect sprites doing (explosions, water ripples, droplets steam etc) then just PM me, i'm all yours. That also goes for any other mappers who need a service like that.

My crits are that the lightings to boring. You have spotlights, but thats pretty much it. And yellow. Lots of yellow lights. You need some more diversety with them.

Probably because these are screenshots, since ingame some of the lights in the damaged section are flickering and with the overal darkness/damage/mist it creates a very creepy athmosphere. The rest of the map is going to have lots more diversity in lighting <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Maybe I need some machinery in the level (the equipment mentioned in the first post)<ul><li>Lockbeam turrets</li><li>Fighterplanes</li><li>Transport vehicles</li></ul>Now I don't know if I want them to be models or built out of solids in Half-Life. Models I can't do, 3dmax I can use (sort of) but I haven figured out how to convert it to *.mdl

The design is all in my head, I figured everything out in there... Sadly enough I'm a slow builder...
(testing/compileing to much, sure an AMD 3800+ helps but it's still a long compile time)
One of the best maps I have seen, keep up the great work. Also thanks for putting so many updates and information about whats going on, makes it better to follow rather than just waiting impatiently for such a good looking map.

- the middle part arround H-junction is the middle deck of achio - the bridge is going to be much higher - the vents run along all elevations - the engines are one deck lower then the rest just like the maintenance bay and docking bay
and as you can see only in starboard generator theres already a major elevation differance between the main hallways and the generator core.
Ah well in short at the moment only the middle deck is partly finished, but there will be enough elevations to go arround for everyone <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I love the map so far. I was wondering about ur lighting. in h junc.. is taht just a some glows and texture lights. and how are u lighting ur map in general. I can never seem to get just a good normal level of light. you just have light entities spaced throughout? and the flashlight i assume u have it so u can walk infront of the beam and ur char will be lit up sort of? i can do this with over head lits but when i tried to make some that looked up at an angle it doesnt light up my char when i walk infront of the beam. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->
