    The map itself looks great, and has nice architecture. However, the lighting needs to be tweaked as you said. It's just too bright for an excellent map like u have. Tone it down, add shadows and ambience and you will definetely have a winner.

    BUT it could be better, like kreon said...too bright
    Lower the gamma a good bit!!!!

    Looks great, but make sure you get everything much darker. Its abit too Fullbright at the moment.

    Excellent work, It reminds me of the old ns_caged one awesome map.
    Glad to see some people are making ns maps...far too many combat maps being made.

    Hard to tell without playtesting, but based on the overview it looks like rushing or relocating to the top right hive from MS would be a game breaking tactic. It's pretty close, and has a few RTs nearby, and can be blocked off with good defenses in only two hallways. I can't really tell if there are sneaky vents leading to it or not, that would surely help the Kharaa. Where's the playable version? EH? EH? EH? Looks very nice.

    Looks good!

    Only concerns since aliens are faster that advantage increases the larger the distance. Might not be balanced, also it seems like quite a walk for marines to the nodes... could be problematic. If you put in some high contrast lighting that map would be awsome!

    oh lory thatsa huge map! thats gonna be a fun one to plaay i could imagine how fun it would be to accidently stry away from your squad and try and pull hero and ten die shortly after on! i am looking forward to it!

    Really nice map, good work. And lowering the gamma would create perfect atmosphere for your map. Many maps are too bright now, I mean less fun. Anyways, it could make it official, I wish you luck !

    First off i want to respond to the peeps that think the pics are too bright.

    Well changing the gamma setting or the overall lighting is not an option. I have put way to much time into the lighting and will not change it unless i absolutely have to. There are plenty of shadowy dark areas throughout the map trust me.

    I personaly dont think any of the official maps are "dark" so im not worried atm. Remember this map has not been Playtested yet so once it has and people tell me " hay the lighting sucks" then ill change it.

    You might be right about it being an easy RL but i wont know till its PTed, and yes there are sneaky vents into that hive.

    Its not that big really, its probably a little bigger than Ns_Nothing. Ns_origin is way bigger i think.

    lots of attention to detail, looks nice. rather than shift the gamma you could try using some darker textures in places, and tone down the brightness of some lights

    That map looks uber sweet! I would love to help playtest it. As for the lighting, I think it looks good so far, and ns_eclipse comes to mind as not really being a 'dark' map either.

    Some nice architecture going on in the second screenshot and the last. But, as some others have said, the lighting isnt as good as it could be. The brightness and general simplicity of it is subtracting from the atmosphere and smoothness of the map. If you were to tweak the gamma and fine tune your lights a little more then the map could end up looking much better on the lighting side of things.

    You dont have to make the map "darker" to make the lighting look better.

    Darkness isn't the key, IMHO. It's contrasting light and shadow, which makes the dark seem darker.

    Don't think it will be.. I talked with Flayra earlier, he said no more maps will be added in this version :/
