before Christmas
Arg. Well I'm a bit in a pickle right now. I need to get an NES + some games before Christmas, yet I'm on a budget and still want to find a good deal and not just get taken to the cleaners...
I need to get ahold of a NES, a new 72pin connector (just in case, they're only $10), Metroid, and SMB1. Those are absolutely must-haves, but it'd be nice to also get ahold of Zelda, SMB2&3, and the more the merrier after that...
The kicker is, I have a max budget of $60. Yeah...
I've already done the Ebay, Gamestop/Funcoland, Game Xchange thing. No dice...
Any of you guys know where a good spot (from a USA site) is to get what I need by any chance?

Die.
I'd rather play most older games than some of the crap that gets kicked out the door these days.

$60 for JUST the NES... friggin crazy...
For those who don't know, a SuperJoy is a pirate Famicom device, it uses an NES-On-A-Chip so it fits inside a controller similar to the N64 one. They have a 60pin Famicom port on the back and generally come with some odd amount of games built in (usually alot less then they claim on the box, since they count 'variants'). Since they use such low amounts of power (run off 4 AAs), and are really small, they are used to make portable NESs. Check out Ben Heckendorn's site to see how he is doing it.
Speaking of Ben, Anyone know where I might be able to get a working 2600 for cheap? I used to own one, long long ago, but stupidly gave it away.
Edit: Oh yeah, and some games too. Specifically: Adventure, Combat, Asteroids, and ET (Just so that I can say I own a copy of the worst game ever programmed in two weeks that was so bad that they steam rolled and mass-burried a huge amount of carts.)
