I also agree with some of the lights not seeming to emit any light, but that's just a question of tweakage. Nice looking so far. Keep it up!

I knwo that. its just to tease you guys a little bit <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> shure, there are much more detailed maps out there. but I think this kind of brushwork is the "golden middle" of speed and looks.

the texlights are little weird looking, got that. tweakage... english is a great language <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Just wanted to say your map is looking absolutely fantastic. I started to map a level I designed about a year ago, and I never really finished it - This must have taken hours and hours to do. And it's really quite amazing. Fantastic work though - really very nice , I'm looking foward to this immensely.

Finally a mapper that seems to have the marine to roof ratio looking right! so many others just cant get this to look perfect, but you've done a great job. The lighting is lovely , and it seems to have a nice atmosphere.

but (un-)fortunately you wont see this area like this in the map. like I said I made a some changes:
    1. redesign and replacing all textures with the ns2.wad <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
That makes me sad.. both of those statements make me sad.
    1. I liked that area.. a lot. it was soo... stylish!
    2. I'm agreeing with thursday very much here. ns2 wad is great, but i still love ns.wad. Neither of them is completely perfect, but a well done mixture of the two can be very very effective. Please don't erradicate ns.wad from the map.

the people visiting the forums should see it as an option:

the more models will be finished when the beta is released, the more atmospheri will be present. positiv reply is one more step in the beta direction. no reply is worst. that indicates the non-interest in this project.

I too would love to help, but ive barely had the time to learn more about the "core" mapping abilities like dramatic lighting and such, let alone the "icing on the cake that really makes a good map feel finished" stuff like modelling. Architecture major, too busy designing IRL structures, you see. *wink wink* And in the amount of time it would take to teach me im sure they could skin them themselves, and with much beter results. But some day...! *shakes fist*

/been lurking.... sorry for not posting but sooo busy...

you must be one of the best mappers around, it really shows that you've been mapping since '98.
This map MUST make it to final i'd say.. if it doesn't first first try, i'll help and fight for it!
keep up the good work, and don't lose the source!

True words, if people had taken more interest in other community maps they may well have been finished. And even the worst maps can turn out the best in the end with help, support and interest.

    The drilling automobile?

Not to 'dash peoples hopes' as this does look like a nice map which a high possibility of going official, but there have been some maps in the past which everyone talked about and said 'make it official' which never did become official. So hold on to those strong and encouraging opinions until Lt. Gravity & the NS Dev team decide to tell you, any information, and when they feel like it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Example: Hydrosity (mouse) & Nirvana (blueman) both have the official Classic NS quality, yet both maps are not official.
