    some pictures of new areas in "random" order...

    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/base_v22.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
    the new cc placement (some crates still missing)

    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/newpassage.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
    short passage between storage and "tram loading bay"

    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/train.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
    "tram loading bay" with its resource nozzle

    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/train2.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
    the most impressing "cross-over area" ever <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/rc_hive1.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
    added some more details including more infestation, some pipes and the a giant ventilation-thing (I dont know how to call THAT <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->)

    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/rc_hive2.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/rc_hive3.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/traintrack_1.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
    track overview

    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/traintrack_2.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
    the "death end" of the tram track and the "crossover" to an alternate hive route

    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/traintrack_3.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
    I like that very much.

    the bars have to be fixed and the texture misplacing creates speeds over 600 (will also be fixed soon)

    only problem is the complete vertex manipulated surface of the rocks. the vising calculation of this area (track overview picture) took over 5 minutes!!!
    thats wy I hate massive vertex manipulation...
    but on the other hand... doesnt it look sexy?

    ... and it would be well if you werent able to see the border where the sprite hits the solids... and btw itsrealy impressive how effective env_sprite still can be. and it saves some system resources....

    I thought it was something like an env_sprite or an env_glow. But if I do that you can clearly see the middle circle <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> ...

    Great Work, but i think the CC is a bit uncovered. Dont know if the crates would change this.. but imho it should be covered by some brushes / another position

    THATS what I am really afraid of... REALLY!!! fr this reason I changed my plans to create large hallways and areas only consisting of rocks. otherwise the compile tools would come out of the pc and kill me instantly <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    arr I've been looking at this map since the first pictures and I must say I still want it so badly.

    by the way, what's a clip node/clip brush?

    <span style='color:red'>Dude I spilled my Pepsi reading that comment ROFLOLLING all over the place!!!</span>

    Now my comments on the map after cleaning up the mess I made:<ul><li>Only thing I can't get in perspective since I don't have a clue about the size of it all.
    The metal catwalk in that long rock hallway/cave. Can an onos navigate safely if he fell of the catwalk? I mean is there room enough for him to move arround underneath it.
    </li><li>Other then that (and its not even a bad comment, just a question). This map is going to be awesome! Textureing is very nice, architecture is also very nice. The lighting is nice, but you seem to have the same problem as me.

    Lighting being nice but overal to much of the same color. Try adding some color to areas, since that would really spice this map up. Don't get me wrong, the lighting is good as it is but can always be improved <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    </li><li>The thing about your layout (1st post if that one is still up-to-date) the top right hive has only 2 main hallways. This could make it a nastly lockdownable hive if the aliens start in this hive.

    I would add one more corridor and maybe a room in that empty space (top-right of the middle) with some hallways towards that hive "area"...</li></ul>Sheesh what a long post <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    dont panic: this area ist a "fake", a nasty trick that is nearly unused by ns mappers. there is more to see than to navigate through. this is a "replacement" for a "L" shaped hallway but it looks very nice. onos navigation? havent tried yet. but I think 2 fades could pass each other ^^

    got it right <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> but I think there is more than enough colored light, there is only the difference of appearance between screenshots and ingame graphics thats hard to compensate <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    no, its not up to date since I changed the map completely 2(!!!) times. maybe its similar but not the same ^^

    up to date:
    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/concept1.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    Im working on it s after tis WE it should look like this (hopefully):
    <img src='http://mitglied.lycos.de/centercross/ns_source/concept2.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    and Im very happy if the compile tools would let me alive... tey would even get a cookie...

    I guess I have to cut down the "high-detail-kickass-rock-textureparadise"-areas to a minimum t make shure the complete map will compile. not wasting one hour to get an "whatever-you-made-wrong-cause-you-are-to-stupid-to-get-the-idea-behind-the-hl-engine"-error.
    and since the first positiv replies I highly motivated to work as hell t finish it soon!!!

    working like hell, believe me!
    I just created the concept for a brand new world model that will be included in this map.
