    Shame it didn't kill him.

    Those bullets have to come down somewhere, I don't think they have the escape velocity neccessary to escape Earths gravatational pull....

    KKK are scray people. I remember them having a cross burning rally about a mile and a half away from my house (yay country living!). Where I live, there is still alot of prejudice and racism, it sickens me (hell, I live in the North too!! Yay Ohio!)

    I hate the KKK with a passion. They killed my friends father. A bullet to the head is so goddamned much more than he deserved.

    I have always thought of that, do bullets come down. You always see Arabs on CNN fireing shots into the air, I always wondered where they went. Now I know <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    You'd think even brainless scum would realize that if you're shooting at the sky, the sky's gonna shoot back.

    I remeber this story awhile ago about in one area of the world, they believed that the phases of the moon where caused by a snake that was slowly eating it (WTH?!). So one day a rally was held where a couple of hundred people unloaded their weapons at the moon. The bullets hit the ground later killing like 10 people and injuring like 50. Good to see they were able to remove some of themselves out of the gene pool.

    Vertical - No people

    Horizontal - People ==========>

    IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.
    Other than that note, anyone who is in a KKK initiation deserves to be shot.

    KKK S.O.B deserved it. They should all burn.

    They shoot into the sky at lots of funerals and stuff too...I think they do it in a more safe fashion or with less gunpowder or something, but I'm not sure.

    A bullet doesn't really fall that fast generally...of course, if you managed to get the rounded tip to come down first, then it could go quite a bit faster and actually hur some one. Of course, I'm sure, even if the bullet were falling flat side first it would still hurt, like being pelted with a small stone. (Everyone should watch the Mythbusters on Discovery on Fridays, not sure what time...they disproved the penny off the empire state building theory - for anyone that doesn't know physics).

    For the same reason a bug can fly off a table and be fine, and a bowling ball off the same table could go through the floor....woot air resistance. (because, negleting air resistance, everything falls at 9.8m/s per second).

    [edit]
    Forgot the mandatory hypocritical statement: die all you racist people...

    Remember to try and change peoples' minds...but to also remember if someone has definately made up their mind you will never convince them to change.

    You, sir, are a physics nub.

    The initial velocity of the bullet is equal to about 800 f/s. It is acted on by gravity at a speed of 32 f/s^2. Due the the parabolic nature of it's flight path, it will reach it's maximum altitude exactly half-way through it's flight time.

    Now, downward velocity increases at the same rate that upward velocity decreased....

    Meaning the bullet will hit the ground at almost the exact same speed it left the gun.

    thank you for that interesting physics analysis... now on with the bashing:

    KKK = nubs.

    that is all for now.

    Well this is a rather odd situation from a moderating standpoint. Hate posts against a well-known hate group.
    I suppose I'll lock this under the "no spamthread" rule again, as further posts are all most likely to be repeats of the above stuff. Not to mention that I need this thing to drop off the front page if I plan on moderating OT from the other location I often log in (their overactive site-blocking filter would freak out at the phrase "kkk initiation")

    Note however that a fair portion of the moderation team sat grinning in front of their screens when they read this <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
