Because i can't figure out how the hell to close my account, and that battleship is calling my name...

Star Wars Galaxies

Because I like pain.

Well, I only played it for the free month...

I played a ton. Not any more. They've driven me away. But who knows what the future will bring.

I don't play any at the moment, although I've played a few times at a friend's house and such.

I will start playing World of Warcraft when it comes out, though.

I'm actually in the mood to get back into one, but I dunno which. I really loved DAOC, but I'd rather try something new I think. Maybe i'll con my Roomate into letting me use his FF11 account for a bit to see if I like it...

Played EQ, loved it, then it got boring.

Currently waiting for WoW to get back into it.

I would poop my pants with joy if they remade Tradewars into an MMO.

Hmm, I do play one or two muds occasionally. I have very strict requirements about which ones I stick with though. And don't stay around for long.

I'm going to suggest a good collection of pay to play muds. It's only 13$ per month though and you get a nice variety that you can play as much as you want. There is also a free trial.

Planetside was fun for a while. I say it's worth the box price for the first month, but gets old after that.

Yeah PS beta was pretty fun for.. about a month. Meh. A core gameplay mechanic is very very flawed, but all the details are nice.

Call me if they redesign the entire objectives system but keep the classes/vehicles/weapons/etc cause those all rocked...

I'm going for Horizons. Mainly because one of the playable races is Dragon. XD

Free online MMorpg.

Freeworld

Not free online game still in alpha. Really good alpha. It's closed right now, but I'll make a post when the next phase (beta) starts.

try Neocron if you like small communities, good prices and cyberpunk

here's a nice big MMORPG logic equation for you ^^

Neocron = Ragnarok > Asheron's Call 2 > ProgressQuest > Death by Pencil Sharpner > Runescape > EQ > Dark Ages of Camelot > Priston Tale

Planeshift is so incomplete I can't even put it in that list... you can walk about and talk and that's about it =s

you dare speak the word that begins with R ....heathen!

Asheron's Call 2 seems to do stuff in a better way compared to the stuff I've seen in horizons but it kinda falls on it's face after the early to mid levels =P

It's mainly just the fact the later parts of the crafter system, loot and content need rethinking that's all. For all I know they might've fixed it up since I last played... that or everyone finally left like they were threatening to over the crafting system not being given enough wub at the higher tiers ^^;

Is PQ in this category too O_O
http://progressquest.com/expo.php?name=Mazkaline

I dont touch in any graphical multiplayer role playing game (i hate that billion miles long mmmppasporpg abbreviation). Progressquest pwns and then one nice MUD of course. At least in Icesus they agree all being pervert nerds and then whack either each other or some hopeless monsters.
Theres just something hopelessly clumsy in every billion zillion player "RPG"s which I have seen. "miners make money well. So all you gotta do is click your mattock like this *click* and then click this rock here *click* and do that 5000 per day for couple months and youre set to kill some monsters!"
We do mob killing too in that mud (Multi User Dungeon, that nerdie games wheres only green text scrolling in monitor) but atleast we can do it five different ways (bad way, good way, funny way, roleplaying way, drunken way and everybody-drunk way). And because its free and I can idle 30 hours per day in there and maybe later take three week boat trip again its my favorite by now

edit: just a quick thought. Runescape is like Counter Strike, both has gazillion players and still nobody know how the heck can they keep on playing it?

yeah but with R , you can pay £3 a month and get more and totally new exiting quests that arent like any of the others ...honest! and loads of sounds!!!111.....
• cshank4cshank4 Join Date: 2003-02-11 Member: 13425Members
I still think Neocron is the best MMORPG ive played to date...in atmosphere community and equipment areas. Although RO tops all of em for addictevness *weeps* im so cold....
• GeminosityGeminosity :3 Join Date: 2003-09-08 Member: 20667Members
neocron and RO are my top MMOs (I don't count PSO as MMO) but Asheron's Call 2 had lots of promise as well.

Either way they're all flawed in ways that eventually become apparent over time and stop you playing them -.-

Blark.

I could not STAND playing Ragnarok Online.

It was just so... ergh, I just hated everything about it. I didn't even get my jobclass before I uninstalled.

I agree. The main problem with planetside is (or was, haven't played since beta, but not much has changed afaik), that you can spend an entire day fighting to take control of a continent, then when you wake up the next day, it's been re-captured while most of your race/faction was asleep.

All I ever tried was Ragnarok Online and I loved it, but it wasn't on a main server so it was a smaller community. It was a wonderful community, I admit quite buggy, but it was small, everyone knew everyone, we helped each other out, and we often had parties. I was the first priest of that server and I was the one they looked for when a couple got married, whatever ceremony they needed a priest in, etc. I excelled in the commerce of Holy Water

uh-huh, RO's one of my top 2/3 MMO choices; it's one of the few that you can do stuff like get married or buy each other flowers and stuff in.

I used to guide people through the pyramids to the thief guild for fun and do tours ^^
