Hey, heres a idea if somone could, model a Blue Gender pack, like marines are the Robots "Shrikes" and model like the aliens. i think that would owned <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->? any thoughts ?

    Nice.... lol think about it would be pretty sweet having little mechs with guns moving around just killing different looking aliens with MORE BLOOD (good anime)

    Anime mechs are the stupidest things ever. They either:

    1) Look retarded.

    2) Feature the most rediculously STUPID choice of weapons.

    3) They're completely invincible and mow through 800,000 enemies like paper, that are usually armed with much more practical weaponry and look much better.

    4) Some strange combination of the above three.

    I think Blue Gender was the first I've seen that actually made the mechs look fairly decent, and not stupid.

    Then the mechs deployed roller skates and skated away. All I could think of was how much that was stolen from Heavy Gear.

    Escaflowne has some nice mechas, they use swords though but still, they're pretty cool.

    SWAT Pointman, cram it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, allow them to think what they want to think and keep your juvinille comments to yourself, with all due respect.


    I was thinking about somthing like this, If you scale all the models down so the 40 foot tall mech is about the size of a human, and scale the bugs the same, that would be extremely cool.

    Problem is the Blue (and any insect style scuttler for that matter) need a hell of a lot of attention to animation in order not to look rubbish.

    Case in point, the Arachnid from the ST pack, which has been through 4 incarnations and STILL has dire animation.


    TBH I'd rather have models that are animated perfectly while not being hugely interesting, as opposed to an interesting model with little/no animation.

    Yea, I agree. I liked Blue Gender.

    The Aliens would fit great as the Blue...I mean look at the infestation of the Karhaa on the maps, and the infestation of the Blue at places.

    If could just be a thing where the Mini-Mech is the HA.....and just have teh LA marine look like the Marines in it.......i wish I had a picture....

    it would fit nice as i said just think hard about it, they maps are rdy for them with the decals of the aliens. make the mechs just move foward no legs moving, and have like the

    onos= double boat bug
    skulk= chooper( the teeth are the choppers)
    lerk= Man eater (flying green thing)
    Gorg=Tank beetle
    fade= rocket bug

    I personally love blue gender but dont think the bugs would work in NS. The cool ones are all HUGE and wouldnt fit into the maps. However, the marines are a diff story (check me thread)
