<div class="IPBDescription">Peace is hers</div> Today at noon on Nov 10 we put our little dog, Jazz, to sleep. We were there right from the start until the very moment she died supporting her and comforting her the entire way through. She passed away looking into the eyes of my mother, the person that she loved more than anything in the world. She was full on the biggest, greasiest hamburger that we could find, that was a pleasure she had never experienced before since she could only eat low fat, low protein food. Her blood-oxygen level was at 12%, 1/3 of what it should be so we decided that it was time for her to go. They put the cathader in and injected the poison. A few squirms and grunts later, she relaxed and she had left. I will never come home to my little dog and play with her or nor will she come to my room and cause a ruckus, the absence of which will cause me great emotional pain but I know this was for the best. I will always love my little girl.

Sorry to hear that man. Always sucks when a pet departs, as for most people they truely are members of the family.
You are making me remember when I saw my cat get it by a car and I had to take his beaten body to the vet to be put down.

We didn't get another cat untill we found Topaz in a bush outside one morning.
You have my sympathy, pets are truely parts of the family.
I hope my cat lives to be that old, but still healthy. I don't think I could bare losing her. I've had her since I was 5...
I'm sorry about your dog, man. Don't worry, though. It's better for your dog to go painlessly with those she loves than to die painfully.
If its any consolation - it wasnt poison they injected into your girl, its was heavily concentrated sedatives. It would have been just like falling asleep, completely painless.
You probably dont wont to hear any suggestions right now, but something that you should seriously consider one day is finding yourself another canine friend. Its not replacing your girl, but it gives you back an outlet for your love and affection that you formally lavished upon your dog that died.
If that isnt enough, then remember that your dog is always a lot happier when its master is happy - in a way you could say your dog would probably want you to find another friend to make you smile.
Just give it some thought - I have never had anyone come back to my surgery after taking up this advice and tell me that "it was too early, I wasnt ready". On the other hand, I have had many people say "Why oh why didnt I think of this earlier".
