I play it a lot, its really realistic which I LOVE.
as of now i am downloading the patch (220+ MB Ouch) from bittorrent at 30-ish kb/s
just past 80% <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I downloaded it the same day I got my cable modem. Then played it for like an entire week, got tired of not being able to use a sniper rifle without passing that test thing, and went back to CS and NS... Im weak.

I can't stand playing it online.....Training is fun tho <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Training for SF is two parts, a test where you identify tanks and helicopters, and the second is an escape and evade course where you sneak around guards.
Downloaded it on my old computer, and it made it cry. Downloaded it on my new computer and it refused to work, and nearly gave me epilepsy with the screen flashing bright green. What little I did play didn't hold my interest.
It's a bit frustraiting to have to do something in the game, fail, and do it again, and again, and again, <b>especially</b> when you know you could almost (<b>ALMOST</b>) do it with your eyes closed in real life.
Agreed. If I had to sit through that stupid special forces lecture one more time because of some stupid account/connection problems upon completion........ arg.

Listening to the guy in the very first test where you gotta shoot the targets with the m16 drove me practically nuts around the 10-11th time. So I just unloaded a round at him to relieve stress.

hehe, going through the lectures is fine. Going through them 4 times...... eh
Personnaly, I think its a great game, I used to play all the time. I havn't played it in a while though because the n00bs that made the game kept creating bigger and bigger bugs with every patch up to the point where you couldn't even join games for like 4 months at a clip. I'm pretty shure its been fixed with 2.0 so I'll give it a try. <b>Cool Note</b>: You can customize your guns with whatever you want (i.e. you can have a bipod, a silencer, and a tactical sight on your M4A1 if you want, or, if you feel like it, you could switch teh bipod out for a nade launcher).
I can't get past the guy on the bridge (going from A to B in the gulley)
Seriously, I've tried like 5 times. Low crawl, high crawl, he still sees me. Even when I time it so that he is looking away, he catches me. There's just no cover, so if you fast crawl to clear the open area, he catches you. If you low crawl, it takes too long and he catches you. >.<
Played some wierd night mission. Fell in a hole. Suddenly I get shot by some **** with their gamma way the hell up. Spend the next 12 minutes sitting there.

Seriously though, this game can be very hard, its more of a thinkers FPS than anything else. You really have to concentrate and use strategy. In this game you have to give yourself an advantage, either with having your teamates cover or some kind of heigh advantage because the game is balanced n00bs and vets are still on an even skill level if they just shoot it out in an open room. You have to use tactics to give yourself and advantage at all times.
lol, I downloaded the 650md version <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->. Just start the download and leave your computer on all night, it'll be done in the morning.
yay... "only" 4 hours to go... that gives me enough time to get abit to eat and watch reloaded a couple of times more... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Also, while the lectures are boring, just remember- there is a such thing as "Alt-tab". Do that for a few seconds, come back, tadah.
Also, being its a HIGHLY realistic game, if you don't have the patience to go through a few lectures, you wouldn't like the game.
lastly- it takes 4 seconds to resend things if your connection messes up for a second.

I was able to complete SF training.
So now.. I'm a Green Beret.
As for Red Orchestra. I tried it. I liked how it didnt have a cross hair in the middle,
but... it's just yawn inducing although absolutely gorgeous!
