Hell, i don't even know the release date. It's not like it's Star Wars or something, it's only the Matrix.

I completely agree. You are my new best friend.
I didn't like Reloaded. Its action scenes were contrite (I did like the brawl though) and its philosophy was dumb. The architect just bs'ed and provided nothing to the story.
However, I have high hopes for 'Revolutions', as the trailer kicked serious booty. I'm gonna go see it Friday with a bunch of friends (discount concierge price anyone?)

Meh, people get to over critical of movies. It was pretty sweet; had good fight scenes, smarter than the average movie nowadays, and didnt fsck it up too badly with romance or anything. Just watch it and look at all the good parts, if you go into a sequal thinking it'll suck because it'll ruin the first, then chances are you will think that.

Uh the Directors-with-names-I-can't-spell already had the whole plot worked out before even the first film was made.

They can't have ruined the Matrix because that was part of the story they had already made.

Only in your view did they spoilt the Matrix

Wachowski i think

or something like that.

The only problem with reloaded was that it was going to be virtually impossible to live up to the first matrix. imo. they put everything they had into the first matrix to make it a success, and when it came to the 2nd, they had nothing left to give. We had seen it all before, bullet time, big fight scenes and the like. The whole "Superman thing" wasnt very impressive tbh. We hadnt really seen it in the first, but we had seen enough of the things in the first to know what to expect. That was what bugged me. There was nothing new. Had reloaded come out first, everybody would be saying that it was the best thing since sliced bread. It had to live up to the orginal to be successful, and, although it tried quite hard, it didn't quite make it.

yes but youre not taking into consideration the 'sequel' thing

its a Sequel, to one of the best movies EVER.

that scores SO many points, just for continuing the tale, sort of like the last episode on an excellent series [red dwarf anyone?] and you think... hang on, theres not going to be anything after this

then later on it goes "SURPRISE!!"

thats reloaded

I wasn't expecting anything from it because I wasn't a huge fan of the original matrix (though like many have said it's better than the standard fare stuff these days I still wasn't that impressed or fanatic about it). After seeing the trailers though I really started to get excited for some reason... it just looked... intense o.O
When I actually saw the film though I spent most of my time making faces at the silly 'werewolves and other beings are from older versions of the matrix' stuff and some scenes in it just stretched on and on and on and on and on and on... The rave scene springs to mind right off but neo's fight with the bundle of people in that fancy house thing started getting dull pretty quick too. I actually enjoyed the smith fight for some reason though one of my friends said they found it dragged on too much.

I know you can't please everyone all of the time but almost everyone seems to have found at least 1 part in reloaded where it just seemed like they'd pulled out a scene for as long as possible boring the pants off them =/
I might not love matrix 1, but it was definitely better and less pretencious than it's follow-up in the series

The problem with matrix 2, is that it tried to appeal to the masses too much. This means more action, less storyline. They tried to throw in bits of plot in between all the big action scenes, which i agree dragged on for way too long. While matrix 1 did a good job of explaining what the matrix is and how it works, concepts like "ghosts being old computer programs" were dull and unimaginative. It will take a helluvan ending to set that movie straight. But i have end of school exams so ill have to see it after next week :'( (why no cry emoticon? )

I saw ballistic too, jesus that must be one of the worst movies I have EVER seen! The whole thing was just "Hero is beaten, hero arises, hero saves girl, hero kills bad guy, hero lives a happy life with girl, the end." I mean come on... it didn't even reach the theaters in Finland, straight to dvd release
So anyways, Im going to see the M:Revolutions too 3 hours after the world premiere with like 8 people but I took the other of the two theaters where they're showing it so I could get some private time with my gf, she doesn't want a popcorn war... not promising anything tho....

Yea I find it pointless to get tickets in advance. When I watch movies, I have to wait in line for 2 minutes max. Me and my peeps plan:

go to theater after school, buy tix.
go to my house, watch first two matrix
go to theater, watch revolutions.

If you see the Revolutions trailer(s), chances are you'll go ":O!", and think that they're up to something for sure this time.
I'm really not that big of a Matrix fan, I just thought "whoa, this is a cool movie. I hope they make a sequel..." when the first came out[this before I learned that it is a trilogy, of course]. Although watching the trailer, I'm sure there is at least one particular scene that people will go "man, that scene sucked" about.

I always seem to find the lamest friends, they are nice people and very outgoing... except when anything comes up that could break the monotomy of the day to day boredom. See the chart below:

Friend #1: Samantha - Won't play hooky, it would be her 8th day out for the semester. Of course, this is from the same girl I had to annoy for 2 weeks because she would rather go to summer school then a 8 day vacation to Tennesse with her friends! In the end, she did go on the trip with us though...

Friend #2: Chris - Works 16 hour days for minimum wage and gets an average of 4 hours sleep per night. Would rather do that then go see a movie though... Oddly enough hes a social butterfly and much much much much more outgoing then me. Hell, at his job hes alone for most of his shift, he could come in at 12pm and no one would know. Oh yeah, he uses a Mac. No hes not g-hey.

Friend #3: Christina - I don't really know her that well, even though I see her often... shes cute so I thought I would put her on here. Shes not coming either.

As you can see, my friends just don't have their priorities in order. Movies > School/Work. Will you be my friend?

EDIT: Thank you once again n-azi word filter!

Yea.. I was a bit disappointed with how they chose to market reloaded. I didnt watch a single one of the trailers, yet I knew about 3/4th of the entire movie's plot (other fourth being the architecht) before ever seeing it.
