I'm just waiting to see what he [shampoo] is gonna say about all of this. If he thinks it is worth saying anything at all...
I've not really met him, but situations like these are always interesting to watch.

Oh no, lets not turn this into something its not. Most of the smart Americans know how to take a joke, as they tend to laugh at themselves as well and learn from their mistakes, instead of being all hot and bothered by some comment meant to get us riled up.

So take it as it comes and let it go by.

Agreed, let's not turn this into an "America sucks" thread, that's what the discussion forums are for.
Anways, let's get back to the blatant sucking up to shampoo.

That's not even coherent. The man has no authority.

But, hey - feel free to make sweeping, incorrect generalizations about Americans and then **** about how Americans make sweeping, incorrect generalizations.

    That's very much arguable, but I guess that's not the appropriate place for it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

All hail? Now send me a good monitor, and add a proper keyboard and a 5-button optical mouse. Oh, and 2048 mb of memory, a larger harddrive... skills are complimented by hardware. But they are there.

With that, let SHAMPOO bask in his own glory. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

Shampoo is one of the major balance problems of NS. The rest of HAM isn't much worse. However in one game, I almost pwned him. Dang it, I lost the pic. ><

I just wish we had better pings to the US servers, ours seems to be getting worse (at last look 300+). It is a shame we can't find a server that everybody has decent pings (maybe somewhere in the 100's).

Hey it's highlander! Let me say, that prior to "playing" against Shampoo you and your Hybrid buddies scared me. Now, I fear you not! For I have seen Death, the destroyer of worlds, and all one can do is hide and pray that he is not aiming for you. Against this power there can be no compromise, no safety, no refuge.

Btw, a note to people claiming we're arse-kissing. We're not. We are achnowledging that Shampoo is an outstanding NS player. You don't believe us? Donate to Constellation, come into the servers and experiance it for yourself. Then understand why Shampoo is a one-man imbalance. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Ryo-ohki is shampoo as good as chit/super/apt... back in the day they were pretty insane. Just like to get an idea of how AUS compares to US.

Pheus_, I would like to see a Hybrid/HAM war, that's for sure. I havn't seen much of the US veterans or PTs, beyond Shampoo and some HAM bloke who populated one of the servers for a while. They are quite good. I havn't had a chance to observe if anyone is better with the Fade than Aegis.

Long story short, the AUS vets certainly give the US vets a run for their money.

No offense to the Aussies, but from what I've seen of their pub play alone is sickening... I hope to god their clan play is 100000000x better AT least...

There's nothing scarier than SHAMPOO or romano joining the opposing team. They just don't die.

If I ever get steam working and get to run 2.1 I'll make sure to join Shampoo/Romano's team then. I get enough humiliation and defeat as the dialup lag guru without being pwned by almost-immortal enemies. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

lol ur going by Aussie pubs, dont be stoopid Forlorn, half the time the pubbers are all bloody drunk its friggen sad.

Although from all the US servers i have played some of em really need to lighten up a tad. Im obsessed with the game but some of u guys are really scary it is still a game no need to cry after each loss seriously.

disclaimer: as this may not be the case in all US pubs, in the majority i have played they were (just avoiding generalizing towards americans they get touchy about it).

I wouldn't put Hybrid up against Ham any more, we have gone down hill so bad it's beyound a joke. The core team was destroyed a couple of months ago after every one sat down getting ready for there last year of school.

3 weeks majorty of our core team will be back and another month after that we should be up to scratch and ready to take on the US boys again with our insane pings <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

It's my only dream to take Ham on when we both have close to even pings and we are back up to scratch.

at current i think australia highly over rates us as we just continue to hold onto our edge, lets hope things change soon tho when we are all back and have time to creat new strats.

SHAMPOO is certainly a good player. I challenge you to find any other good attributes he may have.

I can tell you why SHAMPOO is so great. He follows the rules of NS. Marines have a range advantage, if you notice, he stays as far away as possible from the enemy, and his barely legal aim allows him to dispose of the enemy quickly and accurately. Conversly as a skulk, he knows when to attack and more importantly when NOT to attack. There are times where he will get parasited and run away because he took a few shots, that is VERY smart. Most people get impaitent and charge anyways. When he's fade, he follows the rules of micromanaging between both blink swipe down to an art. Once again if there are too many, he doesnt try to be a hero, he runs away, unless he absolutely has to fight.

He's smart enough to know what he cannot do, which is what all great players do.

I would put forth that it is often quite worth it for a single skulk to sneak up on a marine pack, kill one marine, and then die...simply because marines combat power goes up so much faster than aliens in large groups.

Hope you're not basing that off the R18 New Zealand server, better known as "Noob Central" <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I could throw that right back at you; the standard of play on most US pub servers I've been on is abysmal compared to the Aussie pubs I frequent. I could be playing in the wrong places, true. But then again, so could you <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
