Yea, its pretty much done. Im gonna do the skin meshing, but i need an animator and skinner. I might be able to do the skin, but im really not very good.
If you post the mesh up along with it in .mdl format, A mysterious stranger might skin it. Along with other people who will give it a shot and are probably better than him. And dont rely on the mysterious stranger.
The same as an M4. ROF and everything is the same, since it -is- only an M4 with plastic doohickies thrown on to make it look better. Muzzleflash and retort would be quite a bit higher, due to the shortened barrel and apparent lack of suppressor, though one could be built in [I don't know about the real one they have--it's more than possible they accounted for that, but real supressors are illegal, at least in America and American exports, such as the M4, due to concerns about Israeli terrorists getting their hands on them].
Everything added to the M4 frame to make it a "Raisen" is plastic or resin of some kind, if I'm not mistaken, inclusding what's in the picture [they work with molds that are cheap and quick to keep costs down--metal is expensive and comparatively slow and dangerous to handle]. It's made for airsoft modifications, not real utilities, though it's painted to simulate metal so it at least -looks- tough and imposing, as the real thing should. If it were real, it would likely be alloys. Maybe rigid ceramic alloys [it's supposed to be all advanced and futuristic and such, despite its modern M4 core].
i did a model of the Raisen a while back... can't remember whether i fixed it or not. neways, this version seems much simpler and easier. i might do mine for HL2 or UT2k3 instead, 'cause then i can give it hell detail with nice high polycounts <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
..Funny thing about that Is that you STILL cant make the weapon models above 2500 or so polygons, even in HL2... .. so much for everyones plans for 7500 polygon guns.. heh. 90% of the detail on the weapons in HL2 comes from the textures (as usual) and now the Bump Mapping, But the models themselves are really nothing to write home about. So... Dont go making a set of ridiculously high polygon models waiting for HL2, Cause it likely wont run them any better than HL1 would.

As for HL2, you sitll ahve to make a high poly model in order to do the normal mapping and get all of the goodies that the HL 2 engine can offer and slap it on a 2000 or so poly model and they'll look the same.

Stockless M4A1 with M41A Pulse rifle type handle and padded rubber grips.
