Scared Of Spiders?

Tbh I never really got scared in Half Life but I suppose a arachnophobic could be. I played a demo of Unreal Tournament on that level with the three towers. Looking down almost made me feel sick...

Still, I suppose that's what the doctors are trying to take advantage of, cheap(ish) games that can help phobias.

    I hate spiders! I'm not scared of them though. If I see one, I pound into a pulp with a blunt object, such as a golf club.

    But I read ina Newsweek I think about them video games helping phobias. Seems to be a good thing to throw at those politicians that whine about "Games being to much like real life!"

    as long as they're under a certain size I'm fine with them but above that I get really, properly phobic and break down @.@
    I can hold snakes, swim with sharks and poke scorpions but put a harmless bird-eating spider near me and I'll curl up and die ^^;

    Hmm. Maybe that's why I've been able to catch the little b*stards under a cup and throw them out the window now, instead of just having them leave spider-shaped smears on my walls when the shoe comes down.

    Same thing for me! I used to scream whenever I saw one and throw my textbooks at it...but now I can just trap them and put them outside and say "it's better if you're out here little dude!" or put them in my mantis cage and say "it's better if you're in here little dude!".

    HL never really scared me. Dino Crisis did though. I was bloody terrified when I first played it. I look back at it now and laugh. I've got very crappy port of it to the PC. It's so shoddy that the instructions are the <i>exact</i> same as they were for the Playstation. For example, keep hitting select and start to get out of an emergency.
