Hmm...so is this model limited to only certain people...or is it for everyone...
    if it is the latter...
    What's the password...

Its for eveyone, and the pass is inside the readme file in the zip, so that people actually DO read the zip itself.

You didnt think to read the Readme, or any of the Thread, huh? The Password is in the Readme.. you know, The File your supposed to read before you unzip a model.. The one that gives credits and sometimes death threats? Yeah, Read it. Ill be coming up with more creative ways to make sure people read the readme file in the future.. But This one seems to work well.. because Apparently there are some very inobservant folks out there.

And... Not very obvious? Theres Only two files in there... One is Password Protected, and the other one, Which just happens to be named README!!, is not.

I know it isnt obvious, but it does help the creator of the file make you think about these things <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Well actually I did take a look at the readme, it's just that in a program without word-wrap your password was so far right and I didn't bother looking there...
    *god I'm an idiot...*

Yeah, Wordwrap can be a real pain the **** sometimes... I dont even know why the feature was included.

The texture on the shotgun shell...
    "Bird Control Cartridge"
I suppose if the gun were real it would
a: Be used for bird huntin'
b: Be used by the NYPD to shoot pigeons
c: Be used by people who are angry at song birds for waking them up in the morning.
    *note*
    SG Sounds= Mmmm...Beefy

If you have Win XP and possibly other OS's you can open a zip file and look whats in it without extracting it, like a regular file. So your supposed to just open up the readme in the zip and read it...

I have a complaint with this gun that I hope that will be fixed. Useing the shotgun obstructs your view of your current upgrades. Only time you can see your weapon upgrades and motion tracking is when you reload. Wolf, could you please fix this bug? Does this involve moving the origin?
  • Fox_OneFox_One Join Date: 2003-01-15 Member: 12310Members
No...it involves a bug that almost all custom models have that no one has a clue how to fix <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

Thanks for doing the sprites, Rev, saves me the touble, Unless you dont want me to, Id like to package them with the actual model. Also, Thanks to Snake for pointing out the "Bird Control Cartridge"... Apparently I had the wrong texture in the Directory, The actual shell, while still pretty much the same thing, is supposed to say "TSA, blah blah blah", you get the point. So, I cant upload the new zip now since Im not at home, But Ill do so when I get there, I'll also include the boosted sound effect with it, And, If its not a problem, Rev's Sprites.

Also, Im not too crazy about it in Black, and for 2 main reasons. First off, all Black doesnt fit with the NS color scheme.. Now, I can live with that, But The second reason is that Skinning something in Black requires a different technique than skinning colors... Just desaturating it and adding a burn layer wont quite do it.. The lighting needs to be redone, and It would just take way too long.

  • BrigadierWolfBrigadierWolf Join Date: 2003-05-30 Member: 16876Members, Contributor
Um, For anyone who cares, Ive uploaded the updated zip file, Its still got the same filename so the link on the first page should do it.. I didnt include Revs sprites though, since i didnt get the OK yet.
