Well I haven't been around in a long time, and just decided to stop in a see how things are going back on the old Forums here. Any of the Older members still around? I can't find any posts by the regs I used to know, heck I can't find a post by a member # lower than 5k, or anyone who joined up before '03.

Heck I'll settle for anyone who knows WTH I'm talking about when I say "Bob rules!"

    Yup that's the Rob I'm talking about. I've been trying to catch up on "Unknown Enemy." Last time I managed to check was before he finished part 1. Did a spin by his site earlier, and noticed it was completed, but haven't had a chance to finish reading it yet. The sand Bag reference was to a conversation we had in IRC way back when. He wanted barricades in the story and initialy they were sandbag, then we came up with the shifting molecular density barriers that ended up in it. They almost made it into NS itself, I recall somone actually making an ingame model of what they would look like and posting it. May still be in the ideas forum if its archived back far enough, but considering I've only got 8 posts from before I expect most of the early early dev stuff got cut out to make room for the new.

    Well the archives go all the way back to the begining, but I can't seem to find it. Might be in there, but it also might have been in the old forum (we had a switch back at the very begining of 2002 and everyone had to reregister I never got around to it until March though, most of the active stuff was hapening in IRC)

    Rereadign al those old posts though brings back mems, *chuckles* but everyone's changed there old Avatar's Greedo and Sypder and Rob, Only people with the same ones are MonsE and Flayra. And Molecular doesn't even have one, whered his Bob Avatar go?

    Not that I'd fault him for it, I remember back in the begining him and few others were... actually Nevermind (deletes about 3-4 sentences), not my place and it's a moot point now a days anyhow. But yeah I wouldn't blame them for going commercial with it, they put in a lot of hard work and deserve some monetary reimbursement.

    Bah I just noticed my signature is misspelled, you'd think they'd of told me that last year...

    Old school lurker (these forums had A LOT of ppl like us, who never got around to regeresting because of the 90+ page threads with stories from the PTs...), but I did reg a wee while before NS 1.0 did come out.

    I've spent most of my time posting on New Zealand's NS forums, but now that they've kinda died down I'm picking up my activity here...
