that theory only works if you watch TV ven... my TV's purely for games and DVDs so me paying a TV license is pretty pointless, not to mention that they've yet to actually bother me for never having one probably for that very reason (or more likely that they're stupid and the 'detectors' the ads talk about is just blatant scare-tactics)

Incorrect. Americans DO know what spooks are. Now why MI5 is called MI5 in the States and Spooks in the UK I dont know, but Americans do know what the term 'spook' means. 'Spook' is a generic term for a intelligence operative. Can also be used to describe certain military black ops operatives.

Of COURSE gamespy is going to use some spyware, they've always done some dumb move, which is why I only use it when I'm looking for new HL servers for a mod.

Everyday I run these things and still get viruses, torjans, worms, spywarez, adwarez:

Norton 2000 - U2D with all the current viruses
Windowns Update - to check for new security downloads
Firewall - I check it everyday to make sure no one has got around it.
Ad-Aware - Dirty Spywarez and Adwarez, not to mention porn sites.
Pest Patrol - Can't be too careful, never hurts to check twice!

But yet I still find open ports and other crap that people get into all the time and fux my computer. I had 52 Operations running yesterday thanks to internet!

And more important to the TV network, it is also used as a racial epithet when you're not fond of black people. Which apparently our British visitor here didn't understand.

Having no adverts of here is just a bit saucy, watching 24 on BBC2 without adverts breaking up the Jack Bauer Hour of Power was a real pleasure
