Who is runing who's game? They guy that types "kill" or "retry" in the console or the stupid game mechanic that takes a marine player out of the action for 30 seconds? The truth is, there is no marine option to take an alien out of the game for 30 seconds. Yet another unbalanced game mechanic.....sigh. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->

A better fix, IMO, would be to terminate the kill timer if a marine is devoured, "cancelling" the suicide.  I imagine this will be included in an upcoming patch. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
That would be just great however stomp, devour, gore the rest is best combo.

Are u asking me to get out of ns to go play another game until the patch comes out?And even so one other guy said play on a more heavily admined server didnt i mention that the topic says that it was on rr.org which is the most havily admined server ive ever seen, not once has there been no admins..atleast to my extend as --X-- Godlike.. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Like I said, play on an even more heavily admined server. There are many servers that don't tolerate that crap.

erm, suiciding helps the alien team, unless
1] most of the marines are currently devoured but are all about to suicide
    2] comm distresses then

still, that is pretty desperate for the marines, meaning aliens are winning, and if marines had any equipment at all, it's even worse.

also logic is not involved in the mere act of suiciding, if such has been mentioned.

Suiciding helps the alien team by... denying them a few res and allowing the marine to get back into the fight faster than having to wait 30 seconds to be devoured?

And you can't apply logic to anything unless you apply it to everything, and in doing so you'd have to pick the entire game apart.

Well, unless the whole frontiersman team is alive, devour just makes that person about 30 second delay in spawning. It just make his teammate spawn faster in line. And it is quite rare for there be no marine that is reinforcing (of course its conditional, it is also conditional if the whole marine team is alive). The marine team still spawn at the same rate. If you want to make the marine team's spawn rate slower, go kill an ip.

So its better that 5 marines respawn at the same rate than 6?

5 marine respawning itself will take 20+ seconds and by that time you will be fully digested so its basically the same as 6 marine respawning except that the line of respawn (lets suppose theres a line where marines wait for respawn) for that marine who got devoured is prolonged, or postponed. The RATE of respawn stays the SAME as long as there are more people dead than the number of ips.

Another words, devour does not make a marine respawn slower (unless whole marine team is alive, which is a rare condition), it makes his teammates spawn faster which compensates for the time waited to be digested.

For example, if a marine that is designated to respawn at an ip is digesting and has to wait 20+ seconds, then that ip does NOT wait till the marine is fully digested then spawn him, it just takes the next marine in line and spawn him. It does not change anything to the rate of respawn. If you still don't understand this then I don't know what to tell you.
