lol... the irony of exploiting the word exploit huh? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
anyways, despite the fact that it's a coordinated strategy (which I think is cool) it's the use of /kill as a valid part of a strategy that gets my back up. Games are often about fun and immersion to some degree (lets face it, the reasons differ for everyone) and maybe it's just me but people dropping dead en-masse for no externally apparent reason other than someone must've typed kill in the console degrades it for me personally. I've also got one of those 'stubborn' mindsets where I think suicide like that is just plain wrong and irritates me. people being silly and dying by accident, fine... people dying for a cause or in combat, great... but just dropping dead without a mark on you or some glorious 'take them with me' explosion in a game because it saves you some res or is part of a teleporting to base strategy just irks me to my core.
It might not be entirely logical but I never pretended to make sense as it is ^~
as for marined just dropping dead, well just take into account they spawn in with a handgun lmg and cyinide pill.
what truly has made /kill poular isn't the rfk but those hour long games where marines are shut up on one place and the onii instead of 5 of em rush in and probably win it, stand just outside and stomp and eat people. after seeing goatse.ns for 17 times in one game you avoid it however you can.
A long time ago, during the original PTing for NS 1.0, the PTs developed a tactic they called town portal, after WC3.
Guess what it involved ? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

bleh... okies, I take it back... even if flayra says it isn't an 'exploit' I'll still class it as one lol
I just don't like it.
