Ok, ns_hera. Small game, i go marines. Got off to a bad start when the commander dropped an armoury a TF and a bunch of turrets before an Infantry portal. After informing them that they forgot to actually drop one, I decided that we had wasted enough time sitting in base so went to get a hive. I managed to get to Ventilation without meeting any confrontations and cleary informed my commander that we should take it.
Ok, i'd been sitting there for 5 minutes asking for some backup and possibly a phase gate at my location and i got no reply. Then these little "turret" icons appeared informing me that the commander was far too busy turret farming the base to actually bother capturing a hive location, this was when i got annoyed.
After much shouting via CAPS LOCK, because its clear that some people are just jerks and wont read text, the commander finally noticed me. What does he do? he drops a resource node and then waypoints me to a remote location out of the hive. I gave up and decided that i may as well follow orders so i headed to the waypoint and was immediately killed.
It just annoys me that you have to use Caps Lock or Shout over voice comm to get through to some people. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

MY angriest moment is when people don't even the teams SKILLSWISE.
For example, quite a lot of clans gather together and go on the same team, even if you tell them game after game that that's not really fun to play.
Sometimes there are like 7, 8 clan people on marines and myself and 6 noobs on aliens... You can count out with your **** that the game will not be fun to play.
I have no idea why clanners do that; if they want to practice, they should do that on their own servers, otherwise even up the teams.
sometimes it's not about practice. I'll stack on the same team with my friends all night long, because it's fun to play WITH your friends. Just because we happen to have founded a clan doesn't mean we have to play against each other now. Whenever people start to whine about clan stacks, we pull our tags, and then what's your excuse? Just because someone has a tag on doesn't mean they're better than someone without one, so people who yell "OMG clan stack" need to step back and look at themselves. Do you play with your friends, or against them? If you had the choice to play on the same team as your buds, are you realistically going to voluntarily go against them? Anyway, a situation that bugs me a lot is the refusal of anyone to BattleGorge® with me. Marines secured two hives and double and we couldn't take it back for like an hour. Four of us went Onos (including me). Three of us charged into marine base and started slaughtering it. Both my teamates died and I played cautiously while still attacking their IPs by priority until the 4th Onos arrived. Marines surprisingly didn't relocate. Maybe it was too fast or they thought they could defend. Same game?
Well from my experience the speed at which the average player can rapid fire on mouse 1 depends on the position of the arm and hand, experiment and be amazed at the speed and comfort differences.
I'm not going to read what you have posted but I just disconnected from a server. I tried to be commander... I built the first buildings to our base and then began to listen what hive the aliens had. And then one of the marines started to sing or something like that with voice comm... I could have muted the player but he would still be in my team, disturbing the game. So I logged out from the CC, said something that I shouldn't and typed 'quit' to the console... Argh.
One of the most frustrating moments came back in 1.04. I was comm, and on ns_nancy i had every single res node on the entire map except the one in subspace. I equiped everyone with ha, welders, hmgs, gls, and were moving out to kill the hive; should have been easy, just a half clip from the hmgs would ahve killed it. Boy was i wrong.
I apparently had the ultimate in short yellow dropship mariens as 4 skulks rush the 7 equiped mariens and kill all 7 of them.
After that, i decided taht ha's were too complicated for this bunch, i gave them all jp hmgs to go and just kill the hive and, yet again, a small group of skulks rush in and kill them all before one shot is fired at the hive
my utter aggrivation ended when i gave up, gave myself jp/hmg and wasted the hive in 2 clips. then im banned by some lame 12 year old admin "dont give urself crap, its just wrong" dont you just love morons....
ns_lost , pub game. Im Marine. We as marines controlled the whole map, the aliens couldnt take another hive location, they had only 1 RT. So did we. Get the picture? WE CONTROLLED THE WHOLE MAP. AND NO RTS EXPECT THE ONE IN OUR BASE!!!
Gwah, if that wouldnt be frustrating, no one would eject him. I was the only one who tryed to eject him. In the end we lost due to no upgrades and the 200+ res floating un used. Though we had a nice turret farm in base. That was about the only thing we had.. God i just wish i would had admin rights on that server..
Me or anyone saying that they lost a hive (either side) and that the opposing side will take it strait after we lost it and would never get it back...
Then 5 minutes later when they have already taken it someone heads over to re-take it and says: "OMG WE LOST [Hive name here]! WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL US WE LOST IT?"
I think people would agree, that's the most annoying thing in NS that would prolly make you quit the server.
It was on LGSO playing mineshaft. I had joined the game in mid way. One hive secured, second going up, almost all the res nodes, and we had relocated to processing. Well, the comm drops Ha equipment and tells us to take the last hive. Well, nearly everyone of them but maybe three (counting me) rambo while we go for sewer and get owned by a fade and onos. Said group with a lerk and some gorges go to drill and take it down. No big deal, we'll get it again says the comm and hands out more euipment and announces we have JPs. Well, one of the more expensive rambo heavies with a GL says while out at marine start, that he's KILLING himself for a JP!?! <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo--> Bam, there goes about 50 res right there, and from there it goes down hill. The comm jumps out and equips himself and those of us that listen and try to save tram, and we walk cause the PG was gone. Well, several people get in the chair and we see the items dropped at base sam HMGS, HAs, JPs and GLs. No weilders or anything else, and everyone is going out and getting owned. Well, we go to sewer after dieing, relocate and set up, only to die 5 minutes later because we have no nodes, everyone that had equipment dies, even in base, and doesn't bother to pick it up, they just hump the freaking armory. So, I jump into the comm chair, drop MYSELF a JP/Shotty and try to hide. Doesn't woek with SoF, but about 5 different people jump into the chair and try to drop themselves stuff and go "Wer3z alllk teh reszx?" The previous comm (a server admin and friend) and I start bitching the rambos out about what happens when you don't do as the comm says and we lose everything. They manage to survive long enough to drop a shotty, hmg and gl, but again, no weilder. Apparently, we lose. It's amazing, they can't hit **** with any other weapon but LMGs and even then, they have to be on the brink of losing before they actually TRY to do something about it. It must have been field trip day at some school for total freaking stupid and clueless morons day or something and they took them to somewhere to play NS and log on to just that server so they can **** it up... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

This one time, there was an onos, and it was on ns_nothing. So he was comming to generator from the viaduct hive, and used the elevator.
Since I heard the footsteps, and saw the elevator going up, I used my uber-arse command console hax0rz skills, and clicked the elevator. It stopped in the middle of the shaft, with the onos on it. He couldnt go up, or down. So, we traped him there the whole game.
Its a wonder why he didnt kill himself. I guess he didnt have enough res to go onos again, but man, thats gotta be fustrating as hell. Especally when four or five marines sit at the top looking and laughing at you.
But u know I luv getting an <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo--> annoyed by hiding in a vent that they can't reach <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Once I was a fade on ns_bast guarding the double-resource nozzle room when all of a sudden I heard a jetpacking marine coming right my way. He soon saw me and we fought it out for a while, me acid rocketing him while he was flying around fiering his HMG madly at me. At one point he landed on that little ramp and i actually managed to blink behind him without him noticing me! I couldn´t resist... I chuckled, switched to my melee attack and promptly turned into an egg. Then he turned around...
I trully had thee most purely wrong experience... a month or so ago.
Tanith.
We are the aliens. Game begins.
A while later, we have control of the map, for the most part. We have satcom and the hive by cargo.
We destroy their main base. So, they relocate to the only other area they have anything at, as I guessed they would: WASTE HANDLING.
Now, they get this grand clan commander, right? I figured it shouldn't matter because he lost most of the game.
We have tons of res, control of the map, and both exits to WASTE blocked off.
So, we slowly take them out. Painfully slow, but it was progress.
Then the commander decides to recycle everything down on the lower half and relocate purely up by the resource node.
By this time, we finally have tons of onos and fades fading in and such.
Here's how the go gets:
The onos desperately charge in, trying to make the huge round travel around the platform to the ladder. By the time they get there, they are almost dead, so head back to leave. Of course, coming to an exit, the space gets smaller, so they have to duck to get out. Of course, this is enough time for the marines to gun them down.
Skulks and fades get slowed down going through the networking in the top of the room. Die.
I am the only person going lerk, and I try to use the poles in the far corner for cover. I'd use a vent, but they welded them shut. I try to spore and umbra throughout this fight, but it doesn't seem to ever be enough.
Slowly but surely, the marines get HA's and HMG's. I FINALLY get the aliens to try to make an organized attack. Of course, half the team rushes in before the go time, making a sloppy charge, and basically everyone dies from the marines just camping the platform.
Immedietly afterwords, they HAtrain for the west access corridor. Anyone who goes in after them dies, and any I guess the onos weren't stomp eating like I was telling them to.
Two heavies guard their base, one standing ontop of the armory which is basically in the middle of the platform. Somehow, their setup successfully blocks anything that gets up there from moving anywhere. It is rather annoying.
The HA train pushes back behind satcom. I tell my team, they respond too late.
We lose Satcom.
Well, now we have one hive and the marines are roxoring through the map.
Alien team loses. I don't know if it was from my team's inability to properly utilize all their abilities together, or if it was because the marine commander was an evil tactic **** who deserves to DIE!! DIIIEEE!
Anyway yeah. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo--> On a good note, I once took part in a 3 gorge, 2 skulk 1 fade techno dance to strongbad's techno. even if you tell them game after game that that's not really fun to play.
Sometimes there are like 7, 8 clan people on marines and myself and
6 noobs on aliens... You can count out with your **** that the game will
not be fun to play.
I have no idea why clanners do that; if they want to practice, they should
do that on their own servers, otherwise even up the teams.
As I said, "people" don't even up, not specifically clanners. I just gave the example of clanners, since they are *supposed* to have more experience.
My meaning applies to regular pubbers too; people that I know are good as pubbers, together with clanners I know are good, don't even up.
As said, this is about SKILL, not tag name. I couldn't care if clanners go together in one team, as long as they are not decent players <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> As soon as you develop some skills and still hang out with you equally skilled buddies (clanner or no clanner) you are not making the game fun.
I still don't understand what's so bad about playing against your buddies once in a while? I do it all the time, just out of pure silent concurency, out of pure satisfaction of having beaten them or having eaten up a lot of beating. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Net result is I was I go nuts, I tell the admin where to shove it and storm off the server never to play on it again ^^;<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Admin abuse makes me <span style='color:red'><b><i>Raging Mad</i></b></span>...
No seriously, where do they get off doing this, don't they know what an admin's job <b>is</b>? I hate <i>criticizing servers</i>, but what can they possibly be thinking?
Anyway, a situation that bugs me a lot is the refusal of anyone to BattleGorge® with me. Even getting someone to help me support a (1) Onos (2) Fade (1) Lerk attack is hard, when it really shouldn't be. I mean, I don't have enough healsprays to go around to get all of them. What the heck are they thinking? And yet even if no one else comes and helps me heal them when they do hit and runs, they still act like I should be able to keep them alive, despite their coming back at the brink of death...
I woudlnt say I was angry and enraged, but I had to take a 2 hour break from NS to go play another game after that. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Sounds like a game I played on ns_origin. Same game?

(PS This really happened, no jokin)
But u know I luv getting an <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo--> annoyed by hiding in a vent that they can't reach <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Oh how did I curse my gestate to an onos key. >_<
Getting banned for hacking, when I have never even downloaded a cheat in my life.
I even made a demo of it. I posted it on here before, someone run a search on it if you want it. See if you can't dig up that mirror link someone made for me.
Marine comms refusing to drop weapons when needed and res is in abundance. I had one comm who dropped me HA but refused to drop a shotgun, when we had like 300 res and all upgrades.
