For you 1911 lovers out there...
The 1911 is back, with a new look and improved technologies implemented for maximum efficiency in combat.

This is the RTX 1911, another one of my WWII Revamped weapons that will hopefully be made into a pack.

Any modellers want a go at this pistol?

If not, how about my RTX Thompson?

Well, here's the 1911. Comments?

The whole concept about 1911 colt being modified to "maximum efficiency" is totally possible.....for crap sake the modifed colts are used for what, like 7 decades now? XD

The Revolver's release of 1911 was great, complete with that brown grip, it would rock if someone took this one over to the house.
  • rOoKerOoKe Join Date: 2003-08-10 Member: 19320Members
wow....... 10 posts and not a single one was for the topic i posted, which i wanted comments on the concept. talk about hijacking a thread with that other model...

to clarify, thats the colt 1911, and the springfiled was a bolt action rifle used in ww1 and ww2, you might have seen it in the hands of the sniper in saving private ryan

You are thinking of the .30 cal M-1903 and its 4 or 5 diffrent versions...It was originally designed by springfield and later by Remington and Smith Corona. It's very possible that the Colt 1911 was also made by Springfield and other armorys...

The point of this post? The name means NOTHING!

I spin the M1903-A3 for a Drill team. I am on The Maverick Guard from Madison High school San Antonio, Texas. One of the best in the NATION!
I am also the Color Guard Commander in which we use M1903-A2s instead.

Springfield has manufactured the 1911 model, as have a few other companies, Power-Line. Not only Colt made it. Not too many guns in the WW2 era were made exclussively by one company, due to the high demand for anything anyone could get their hands on. Even today, the 1911 has several varients from different people. The M4 is a good example of a gun the military threw contracts out for, causing Colt to sue left and right.

    o_O

strange....... it seems that all the concepts im making and taking hours to work on, are being taken by owens and just redone a little to give him credit?

id appreciate if youd stop modifying my ideas and coming up with your own... cuz im trying to request these concepts that I made to modellers. im not saying dont make your own concepts, but youve been taking every one of my concepts and just changing them, saying that they "are better".

you are doing it to my thompson thread too.

    hijack someone elses threads please.

Aghhh... why does every gun have to have a laser?!
  • TheRealVashTheRealVash Join Date: 2003-05-21 Member: 16547Members
Here is a little mod juz to show u what I was talkin about, I just think it looks a bit more futurisitic but its
your gun so it's your decision.
  • Mr_VagicleanMr_Vagiclean Join Date: 2003-06-22 Member: 17615Members
You want concept review? You got concept review XD

The gun looks dandy, with a touch of a colt 1911 that's HEAVILY modified, looks like the .45 ACP that Hitman had in his game. I don't know if the laser is necessary though, like Malambis said.....it's like a deadly shark with freakin lasers, WHY LASERS? XDD

The grip on the colt seems to be unnecessarily curvy, and the laser projector seems abit.....beefier than the gun itself. And i want to know what's that red "scribble" on the laser thingy, and the red tips on the sights.

Other than my unproductive picking, the gun will be awesome when it is released, the funky's referenece picture that had the scope on the colt.....other than the green color and the "fancy shmancy scope with a AC, GPS, and a mini freezer for your beer" Remember, one of the concept that made the original 1911 colt .45 ACP so popular and reliable was that it was designed for reliability in combat, it was made to kill, not flash the laser pointer at a nazi while he guns you down XD
