I can't see this thread continuing much longer, so for the sake of the THREAD (which if we forget is a **discussion** about NS:C, not a chance to shout our opinions on it one way or the other), let's get back on track here.
I haven't posted on this thread yet. I read the first 6 pages the other day but it's a tad longer than THAT now!
I welcome the idea of NS:C. It will not take over my NS gaming, but it will add another dimension, something that can only be useful.
The argument that NS:C will kill NS "Because ultimately everyone wants to play deathmatch" seems a little lacking to me: 1) if people only want to play deathmatch, why are they playing NS in the first place? 2) If people like NS, when NS:C is released, will they stop liking NS?
I personally LIKE CS. I like playing against/with people I know in real life. I do not like the general public server scene, as I find it rather immature, not to say that all servers are that way - don't get me wrong here. I have been playing CS a fair bit lately to get some space from NS (for personal reasons, not so much the game itself). The way I see NS:C is this: it's another aspect to this game, another addition to the repertoire. If I get bored of NS for a bit, I can go and play NS:C.
There are lots of other points people have made, but I think that'll do for now.
