Chibi Heavy Armour Marine!
This took a few Hours. Drawn in Macromedia Flash.
I was going to use this for my avatar but all the detail was lost when i reduced the size.
Better to show it off then put it to waste though huh?

Coil has already done the rest. Hasnt done a Heavy-Armour marine yet though, so i thought i'd try it

The wonders of the Lanczos3 image-rescaling algorithm lets it get down this small to begin with. None of that stupid 'cubic' resizing here, for REALLY small sizes, cubic isn't any better than linear resizing. Lanczos, especially the 3rd-degree-polynomial variety, is where it's at for keeping visual details. :-)
The wonders of JPEG Optimizer let me get it down to 4k. This work, I hope? =^.^=
ND
It wasn't specified if it should keep the white background or not, and unfortunately since Norn posted an already-anti-aliased image, it's fairly difficult to remove the 'white halo' without a bit of work. If Norn wants, I can do said work, just I'd rather not until I need to, ya' know? =^.^=
And TBH, that's the best I can do for detail. The extra couple of pixels of 'detail' that can be gained by upsizing the image the extra border pixel or two are immediately lost due to the non-uniform scaling factor that needs. As it is, that's a perfect 6:1 ratio of scaling, so it's a very 'clean' scaling. What you're recommending would be a roughly 5.975:1 scaling, which can cause all sorts of havoc with the image. =-.-=
If Norn can post something that's 512x512 or preferably 1024x1024 without antialiasing, I can work from that and make it have a proper 'edge' to the image far easier than editing the existing image. And as Norn said it was done in Macromedia, that means it's a vector image, so upscaling it like that shouldn't be a problem. :-)
Beautiful work mate, very cute.

Looks nice.
(I always find its better to focus on a single part then to lessen the detail to show the whole thing, less is more eh?)

Its larger than the original, antialiasing removed, (it should look ok when size is reduced) and a brown background to help with transparency. Could I have the background transparent please?
what, is he on a trampoline?
And yes, feel free to use that url for the image on this board. No, that's not a jpeg file. It's a PNG file. *grins evilly* I love having my own web servers to host redirects on. :-)
Also, if you only want a fragment of that, lemme know, I CAN do the zoom-ins, but I was guessing you wanted the whole thing. So, the whole thing you got. :-)
Second, yours is a 'hard edged' transparency. Mine's a full alpha-channel, so it'll look uber-smooth on any background colour at all. I have a web-host where I can 'get around' the GIF/JPEG only restriction on graphics, and use PNG files. And yes, it works on Mozilla, Netscape, and Opera, not just IE. =^.^=
