NS not supported by steam? I didn't know a mod had to be updated to support steam. If so, there are an enormous number of mods with little or no support that will be rendered worthless - which is a great loss to the HL community IMO. NS aside, I am very disappointed by Valve if this is the case.

Flayra will find a way to get all the icons working dont worry
Now that's very odd... I have managed to get Monkeystrike, Counter-Strike, Natural-Selection, The Specialists, Vampire Slayer, Day Of Defeat , Team Fortress Classic and Sven Coop working fine with steam...
Most of those I just copied over to Steamapps\email\half-life\modname and worked without probs..
Oh well... There are SOME probs.. U can't strafe as a Vampire in Vampire slayer, and some games have some sprites slightly mixed and small bugs, but they run without any bigger problems.
I think everyone just has to sent their steamid's to flayra so he can change the icons to those who deserve them ^^ . Hehe, I'm pleased I don't have to do that ^^

It's my understanding that Flay is waiting for the Steam SDK (or equivalent) to be released, so he know how to alter NS to work fully with Steam - icons, RMB menus, and everything. We'll keep you posted.
I know many server ops have been able to put NS on Steam. If you're trying to and having trouble, check in the Server Ops forums to see if anyone there can help.

I run 2, 30 player servers over at www.BattlefortheGalaxy.com and when I attempted to update both of them to Steam here's what I got:
Checking bootstrapper version... Updating Installation... Unknown game 'NS'
I got the same error whether I tried NS or ns.
So what this tells me is that NS currently is not supported by Steam. If I'm correct, that means the NS team has about 7-10 days (I don't remember what the hard deadline is for turning off the WonID system) to get their mod supported by Steam. If Valve turns off the WonID system before Steam supports NS, then NO ONE on the planet will be able to play on a NS server via the internet.
Just bringing this to everyone's attetion so we can get it addressed before alot of players realize they can't play NS anymore.
