<div class="IPBDescription">and now hes making the alien V models</div> its in the name once again <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ive done the zergling v model and the hydra v model(i changed some anims and the origins) which I didnt make, both are HACKED versions of the models they came from. im just about to start the ultralisk.

    bah my zergling anims suck so they wil b released l8er, but for now heres the hydralisk claws.

    extract it to your ns/models dir

    If you figure out how to de-compile the V models for the onos, let us all know

    espesially those errors your getting are because it's a DOS-Based decompile tool and there are spaces in the QC file.

    Fade and Skulk anims are ok for this sort of thing.

    Onos, gorge and lerk don't work.

    I've sent a PM to the animator of the NS v weapons, no reply as of yet but hopefully he will, and we can get the anims hosted somewhere if he lets us.

    That way we can all create custom v weapons or reskins using mere mdldec.


    ATM (as you will soon discover) you will be able to extract less than half the Onos animations - so you'll be spending a lot of time making new ones from scratch <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->


    BTW the Aliens Fade version I knocked up uses the acid spitter as the acid rocket protrusion - what would the hydralisk use though?

    hydralisk shoots them out of these small bags it has on its bag which are not in the player model itself

    atm i am trying to get all types of mdl decompilers and converters etc to try and get it to work :O, well i found otu so far, renaming things in notepad/wordpad dont work lol, i tried to rename the anims but didnt succeed, but im still trying to get those anims outa there.

    erm ok, um firstly, download a hex editor program, open the mdl file, search for names like gore->stomp etc(thye aer aroudn each other) i just did the string command change thing so it chaged all -> to __ so all the anims wud be renamed. NOTE: u cant do this in wordpad or notepad. thn save the model, and then open it up in hlmv, wolah! there it is, the animations renamed ready for decompiling <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I know where to get one, obviously, but out of convenience I was asking a fellow user who:

    A) Has a hex editor
    B) Knows how to use it
    C) Had already done one and may have been around with some time to try another v_lvl


    Which would have sped the whole process up.

    If you stick up the gorge v weapon hexed for ease of use, and the skulk anims, then I'll have a look at the skulk.

    TBH I've been fiddling with both default skulk and the aliens one, so I've a rough idea of what goes wrong where. And for me, the first screwup was the order of the anim names, hehe.


    Anyhow, linky linky, I'll have a looky looky. Hell, if you don't post the gorge v weapon I'll STILL look at the zergy anims, cos I owe you for that onos <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Mostly for Zergling and mutalisk thou, those are actually pretty much the only kharaa's I use...

    Cookie is no longer working on the Mutalisk, now it is Psycho-Kinetic-Hyper-Geek, but he is only completeing the model when he finishes his quake marine. So he estimated the mutalisk around 2.1 time.

    Well whats <i>YOUR</i> version of the skin like, is it that pink skin?

    Plus check the mutalisk threads last 2 pages, theres is a loverly WIP on a new skin.
