It was a stormy night, as I was fighting the solidus dude with my sword and what not. And the ending scene roles.
But, just as it shows the the dudes walking in the street by the building where "Jack" and whats-her-face just met, the power went out.
Diverse screams of 'no' were echoed throughout the neighborhood, and the ending was never, seen, again...
My life sucks, I also spent a total <i>hour</i> running up and down that long corridor (Naked in the game), the one where you have to answer a certain codec call to get snake to appear, but after getting all the robo "prank" calls from whats-her-face-jacks-girlfriend, I stoped answering them. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Snake shows up, says he's gonna find Olga's baby and go after Liquid/Ocelot, and Raiden wanted to tag along and Snake told him no. Then Raiden went back to his high maintainence girlfriend and the end.

As for Rose, I was under the impression that she was always under the Patriots control and was just another part of the GW program, but then again she didn't go loony after the virus so I suppose you are right.
Anyway back to MGS3, it is set in Russia and considering Revolver Ocelot, and Phsycho Mantis worked for the KGB they may end up in the game.
How freaky would it be with Physcho Mantis changing things in the jungle? I can't wait for MGS3, however I was never one who minded the 600000 hour cut scenes or whatever. I quite liked it being an interactive movie, as I really like the Metal Gear series for the story line above all else.

Hideo Kojima is known for making you question how thin the gap between game and reality is, e.g, the many many Psycho Mantis possibilities; "moving" your controller, (like he really has the power to manipulate things outside of the game :/ ) "reading your mind" i.e your memory card, and the black screen with HIDO on it you get RIGHT before the fight; that is the screen you get on Japanese Television sets if there is no signal, so all these Japanese people are fiddling with their TVs when the game restarts and Mantis starts kicking their butts <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Apparently the idea is to make you think there is a trick to that part, like the controller switch trick for Mantis in MGS1. Hence the colonel says "It's just a game, turn off the console Jack". And so you think... hang on... this is a trick isn't it! I'm going to turn off the console! Yes, like we are really that stupid Hideo <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Also note that aftr Rose's last "sane" codec message, she is NOT Rose, but another AI controlled by the patriots (if you notice the patriot-Rose has no pupils in her eyes.... creeeeeeeepy!)
Yeah, some of them freaked me out bigtime. Especially the ones where the breakdown in the colonel's program caused his flesh to become semi-transparent and you can see his skull.... Not so much scary, but VERY creepy.
And then there's the "Fission mailed" screen. I am quite proud of the fact that I didn't fall for that one, but I did laugth my **** off <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I never fell for that Fission Mailed stuff or whatever, I thought the Psycho Mantis controller moving was really rather clever.
As for Rose, I was under the impression that she was always under the Patriots control and was just another part of the GW program, but then again she didn't go loony after the virus so I suppose you are right.
Anyway back to MGS3, it is set in Russia and considering Revolver Ocelot, and Phsycho Mantis worked for the KGB they may end up in the game.
How freaky would it be with Physcho Mantis changing things in the jungle? I can't wait for MGS3, however I was never one who minded the 600000 hour cut scenes or whatever. I quite liked it being an interactive movie, as I really like the Metal Gear series for the story line above all else.
Anyway, roll on Metal Gear Online.
