<div class="IPBDescription">Kicking Constellation memebers is bad!</div> I am very proud to say that I am a Const Member. I donated to Flayra a few months back and am also a huge supporter of the Constellation System. So let me tell you a story about what happened to me today.
I was playing on my favorite server (if you know me you know where I am all day) and it had just been passworded as we were playing, I saw the admin kindly tell 2 people that he had to make room for reserved memebers and that they were going to be kicked. I thought it was nice of him to at least tell them. People understand that its a Clan Server, sometimes you need to be kicked to let Clan members join. So I was playing on the now locked server and just happened to be the only Constellation member on at the time, All of a suddened, while firing at an Onos, I found my self looking at my consol, no kick message, no way to rejoin. I am not prevee to the Pass yet so I couldn't get back to the server.
I figured I was auto kicked when someone who knew the pass joined. I was hurt though. I am a new regular on this server for the past 2 weeks and am also well known by the other reqs, so I wasa bit sad that I was removed without even a message <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> but if it was autokick, what can I do.
I joined another server, also a well known and respected server where I can be found if I can't get on my fav one. I happen to be the only Const member on this server too. Not 5 mins into the game, Consol again, telling me I have been kicked to free up a spot. Now I am getting annoyed, I really want to play and no server seems to be letting me today! <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> I moved on to another server.
This server is one I use to play all the time back in 1.04, I am not well known but I know people there from the forums and the game. I am not the only constellation member this time, 4 of us are playing on this server. I start playing for about 10 mins and then BOOM I am kicked to free up a slot. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
I am not a rude gamer or a jerk or a bad player, I follow orders and do my damndest to help my team, so attitude isn't a factor, if anything I am well liked by the people who know me. I just want to know if I have done something to be targeted today? Didn't Flayra himself make a post about thanking us Constellation member, stating that we are the reason we are able to play NS 2.0 right now.
I can't quote it because the Site is still in basic mode, but I believe he said something like this.
"Thanks to the constealltion donaters, I would have had to stop development months ago if not for them. So next time your playing and see a member with a star icon next to there name, give them extra health, or a bigger gun, or if you <b>have to free up a spot on your server kick someone else</b>, anything to do something nice for these guys becasue they did something nice for you!"
My point is, I love play NS 2.0 and I was only so happy to donate to help everyone get to enjoy the game now instead of some time from now. I support the Constellation and anyone who goes to my site would know that (I make posts about it all the time)! I just want everyone to remember what Flayra said, Try to be nice to us Const members, we dont want special tratement but kick someone else to free up a spot.
I didn't like being kicked 3 times in a row to day to free up a spot for someone else. I am not special, but I think that if you have a server with a constellation member playing and you need to free up a spot you should remove a non const, keep a friend if you have too, or if your going to remove a const member or anyone always tell them first. Nothing worse than being kicked to free up a spot and thinking you were kicked for some other reason.
I am not person who wants special tratement at all, I just thought it was a nice statement Flayra made and that he was being very nice to us by telling the community that. I just hope that everyone understand exactly what the Constellation members did to help Natural Selection, the least you could do is kindly tell them you need to kick them to free up a spot before you do it, or like Flayra said, kick someone else!

That made me chuckle. A bit contradictory, don't you think? At any rate, I see where you're coming from, but honestly it was probably just a coincidence. You got unlucky, while it's good that you are a constellation member, the vast majority of NS players probably have <i>no idea</i> what that cute little star thingie next to your name is. You're preaching to the converted here.
the people to get weapons first and kicked last should be the people that are skilled and are of greater value to the team
lets make a server check at monday 6 am GMT, a time were nobody in the world could play games online without beeing a complete nerd.

My point is that I thought what Flayra said about being nice to the people who helped you get to play this game was a great thing indeed.
We never asked for special treatment, he wan'ts us to get some!
Everyone needs to remember he said it him slef, with out the Donations, we wouldn't have 2.0 right now!
He said to be nice to us, would you kick a Vet or PT, no becasue they helped get you the game, same as the Const members.
My point my be a bit selfish in that I am happy to be considered special by Flayra, becasue I helped him help the community, but I just think it wouldn't hurt to at least tell a constellation member he needs to be kicked before kicking.
Anyone should be told not just const members but I am making the point about const members in general.

Ahem. I most heartily disagree. Constellation members are of the greatest value to the team, without them, you probably wouldn't be playing 2.0 !
I find this to be a very curious and disrespectful attitude. Without these constellation members you would quite litterally not be playing NS 2.0. Putz's with a trigger finger in game are a dime a thousand. People that supported NS with their own money are not.

Personally, i don't kick constellation members unless they have really bad attitudes and are violating server rules, or they are the only people i can kick that arent part of the clan that owns the server or part of the private community.
Maybe I should donate $5 like you, so I can expect special treatment and get upset when I don't get it. Now I know MonsieurEvil is right in that we should be <b>Thankful</b> for the contributions of the Constellation members, but Majin is living proof that they don't automatically deserve <b>Respect</b>.

Ah yes thats what ive been trying to say!...
Our CoFR server has seen all the reserve slot holders come out of the woodwork since 2.0 came out. So for the next week I imagine its going to be pretty painful unless you have a reserve slot. I have noticed that the mp_authicon funtion doesnt seem to work properly too, so if you were a constellation member, I doubt I would know anyway.

Now I am a bit disturbed that you would judge me in such a way.
I am pointing out a valid fact that, I was kicked 3 times for no reason other than to free up a spot. I have no real problem with this.

He asked that the community be thankful to us the Const members for our LARGE part in bringing people like you IM this game!
I have no wish to get rcon on every server, or be givin god powers or anything, just that people remember that I and other like me did a BIG part in helping this game be out right now. Respect Flayra's Wishes and try not to kick a Const member.
This isn't just for me, but for all PTs, VETs, Contributors, like Ollj and Geek and countless others, the const people are who I am making this post for.

Sorry if I come across as selfish, I am not trying to, I just like to play NS and being kicked 3 times in a row today, hurt my playing time. I used that as a reason to bring up the QUOTE that Flayra made about Sparing us a kick from a server!
I did my part in large, It doesn't matter how much I donated but just to clear things up I didn't just donate for me, I donated for my web site also, twice!
