u cant really see the bayonette in the model ingame <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Mmm, intense stuff there, should try it out sometime <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo-->
Looking really awesome, and the knife is an awesome idea!
I'm currently using it, and I love it. The mouse2 thingie is cool <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
worse thing about the bayonette is that theres no draw animations for it, so since I can hardly see it I use the non bayonette version and use the bayonette one for my knife
Hum...i m sort of new for this forum, but i have been reading around the place for a very long time already... Just downloaded the skin, and viewed it ingame, looks "elite", good work man, just the problem of the no draw animation for the bayonette, but i m not really worried bout that due to the fact i m also using the non-bayonette version <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Anyway Good work <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
You mean the bayonette version doesnt have a draw version? Or the knife itself doesnt? I was about to say, would look pretty weird every time you right click the draw animation plays, then you start slashing.
Only thing I found 'iffy' lol was the reload animations. Kinda looks like he <i>flicks</i> the clip off of the gun. Other than that, <b><u>exellent</u></b> model!! I'm using it right now. Very creative with the bayonette thing, which most people didnt even bother to use from the looks of it, but very cool, very cool. Many more knife kills since then for me!! <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
First, you need to have a file extractor (IE: WinZip, WinRar). Open up the file you just downloaded, then look inside until you find the .mdl files. extract all of them. Depending of course, if you want the version with/without the bayonette. There are 4:
p_mg v_mg v_mg_hv w_mg
Drag and drop those files into this folder:
C:/Sierra/Half-Life/ns/models
Then drag/drop the custom sounds, which are needed if you want reload sounds, into this folder. Remember, extract the sounds (IE: .wav files) into this folder, not just drag/drop the folder into that folder.

The authors put a lot of effort into writing up a detailed manual. At least do your small part.

Kinda looks like he <i>flicks</i> the clip off of the gun. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> open it in HLMV and look closely and you see there's a little switch thing he flicks that releases the clip
there's no draw animation because it'd look weird if you switched from lmg to knife and you had to put the gun away and draw it again
and has anyone noticed that nthngnsd hasn't posted any thanks for all the compliments or anything at all in the 24 hours this topic has been here?

Sid's Review:
This weapon is highly recomended!
The animations are smooth, precise, on time, and look very, very cool. The sounds really suit the weapon! From the "Clackity clack" of when it's firing to the hard, loud "SHLACK!" sound as he places the magazine in and coc ks the slider. The look of the weapon really fits into NS. Sure, it has no ammo counters, or any fancy laser-sight things, but what it does come with are very neat looking Iron sights, and great origins! It makes good use of the transpareny files aswell. I have little or few gripes with this. There is only one animation that I dislike; because it obstructs the veiw. When he is relaoding it, he switches hands to coc k the gun, and you see the weapon move along the screen. And there is an idle animation where he strokes the weapon, then switches hands and adjusts his grip. They are VERY nice animations, it's just that they obstruct the view a LITTLE BIT. (Barley noticable). Even if you dislike getting model replacements; GET THIS! It's a great feeling mowing down Skulks in mid-air, then ducking behind a corner and throwing the Empty magazine on the ground (literally), and smacking in a new one. (I don't know why everyone has a problem with the reload animation - I think it simply KICKS ARSE!)
The combo I'm usuing:
I'm using the high poly, bayonett version, but I kept my knife, because there are a few MINOR animation glitches when you use the Bayonett "script". The 'version' I'm usuing has NO BUGS OR GLITCHES WHAT-SO-EVER!
I give this a 94/100, or 5 stars. -Great looking. Smooth animations, neat idea for the Bayonett, awesome sounds! -Two animations obstruct the view minory (Only if for a few seconds), switching to the knife gives a .5 second animation glitch, but thats it.
Thanks for your time, -Sid
P.S. I highly recomend this! This weapon will surely be my LMG for a LONG, LONG time, if not forever. It fits perfectly into the game! It even has a TSA logo - so stick THAT in your pipe and smoke it, pal! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
yea its just the script he made, soemtimes if u lag a lil bit wth the script it looks like your shooting but not for anyone else, lik with manual siege.
Only problem with the model is some blockage when reloading and the muzzleflash blocks the crosshair, but i downloaded a new muzzleflash and it looks great! Great job! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
actually there was a lmg/pistol combo, i just took it out cuz it made the zip grow to 8mb or something and i thought no1 would use that anyways.. but i could try and upload it if u want it
Yes, I'd be very happy if they were each single, yet similar in the sense of texture/skinning. ... *me prays its not something like fire the second barrel like a underslung shottie*
I like the model but the skin is pretty dark for my taste. And i would of liked it better with a "TSA style" green skin to match the arms. Plus, it feels "small" ingame.
But a great model non-theless. Just cuz it's not to my liking doesn't mean it ain't a great peice of work. The custom anims are great in itself.
Mmm, i downloaded this model a few hours ago to replace my n00bish attempt at an SA80, and i have to say, those animations are slick. I can't fault this model in any way other than what's already been stated, it's an incredible model, which i think will be my standard for a while yet, nicely done. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Originality on Models and Skins... who'd have thought?
