Heck, if Orson Scott Card is right, even if we fianlly settle upon a single global language, a few thousand generations after its inseption, they'll still be speaking with their accents...
... any ideas on how a global language should be? I vote to strike any and every word in any language that has silent letters... which kills about half of both english and french...
Japanese is out, because, although rather nicely modular, it sounds amazingly retarded trying to pronounce foreign words... (and the not making a difference between L and R is another point against it...)
