    Actually in some stats if you commit a huge crime and they can prove you had certain levels of intent you can be tried as an adult or a juvi. even younger then 15.

    example. Eric Smith, 13 year old who murdered a 4 1/2 year old boy in NY.

    He was sentenced to the maximum juvenile sentence for second degree murder in New York State- only 9 years to life. He was sentenced in 1994, and in June of 2002 Smith became eligible for parole. He was denied.

    Yep hes stil in jail today and probaby will be for a long time to come.

    Congrats on being 16, dude. Even though not much is really different until you're 18 (except driving), 16 is still a big deal. It does seem to be the age at which people start giving you a tad more respect.

    Well if you're British that means you can legally smoke, have sex and ride a motorcycle on the roads...though possibly not all three at the same time....

    We do, however get to drink three years earlier than in the US (18 rather than 21)

    cos well around here at least.. i go o pubs and see people i used to know in year 8 in secondary school! ( now year 11 they would be)

    but still... kids!

    im only 17... i have been attending pubs since year 10.

    there are bouncers at all of the places. just all they need is to see a pair of titties and they are happy for the night so they let anyone in.

    "Get to" in this case means: "Are legally allowed to in a public place" we're actually allowed to start drinking at the age of 5 as long as we do it at home.
