    I'm running in 1024 x 768 (I think)

    sorry, dont wanna anoy u (i know i do so)
    but i have a problem:
    I´m using 3dsmax 4, modelled the brainbug and trying now to skin it now...

    got me? my problem is skinning. I read the tutorials but they are little bit confusing to me, i speak german so i dont understand everything whats written there.

    If someone knows links to good skinning tuts (for 3dsmax4!) please post them here.

    shotgun-morita carbine masterkey thingy
    gl-nuke launcher
    welder- whatever u choose
    lerk-flying thingies from film
    fade- arachnid- doesnt fit for skulk, maybe there could be a baby 1 for that, just round it off and reskin
    onos- thos huge beetle films that act as mortars
    thats about it, maybe the HA should be the cyborg unit from the CG series

    Shotgun - agreed.
    LMG - the one we have atm in the pack isnt v good imho.. **see attached image**
    HMG - i use the same as the lmg tbh.
    GL - int he CG series they have a cool nuke launcher thing which lanuches 5 in a sort of 'magasine' maybe that..
    Welder - no idea whatsoever.
    Skulk - Baby Arachnid
    Gorge - the Transport bug (the one atm is well small...)
    Lerk - Flying green scythe bug
    Fade - Large arachnid **it's legs wouldnt fit.. so you have hte rule of 'aim for the nerve stem to put it down for good.'**
    Onos - i wouldnt use a plasma bug, rather use a Tanker bug (the one which spits fire) as i think it could be moudled to that size..
    HA - the Marauder Suit form the movie would fit nicely..
    LA - the marines form the CGI series look alot more 'gamer' like then the movie ones...
    JP - the CGI marines also have 'jump-packs' so that would fit in the theme...

    LMG: Morita... just soup the model up a bit, it looks like **** right now (IMHO)
    HMG: Maybe a completely new gun like, maybe the assault rifle from Mace Griffin, its a large rifle with a chaingun on it instead of a reg barrel.
    GL: Nuke launcher
    Welder: ... something?
    HA: Marauder suit!!!!!!
    LA: Reg is fine, or use the HALO Master Chief, only update the model so it looks like the marine from the CGI.

    ok here is why LA would fit with the normal 'powersuit' the cartoon uses..

    essentially lightweight armored space suits which allow battles to be fought in environments and atmospheres which would otherwise be deadly to humans. - the hive.

    Jump jets mounted on the back of each suit allow troopers to leap tall buildings in a single bound - JP.

    onos can be a larger one tanker/plasma..
    skulks - baby warrior
    lerk - flying scythes
    gorge worker/drone..

    but the fade is a problem..
    im trying to think of an alien with acid firing capabilities.

    Hows this for a HMG?

    Morita Squad Support Version:

    A slightly modified Morita assault rifle hastily converted due to the need of a weapon with a higher ammunition capability for covering fire. Featuring a heavier barrel for sustained firing; designed to take 150 rounds of linked 7.62 x 51mm ammunition in a bagged magazine in place of the standard magazine. A lightweight bipod reminescant of the M-60 machine gun was added in place of the shotgun. The secondary trigger was removed; the housing remains original for sake of simplicity and to speed up the conversion.

    (just a concept idea. It's a quick hackjob for kicks. Red dot sight by murdock (I believe), bipod by zapzilla, base morita by DarkB5.

    it wouldn't have a scope on it...cuz in the movie they mostly have close range combat. so...take off the scope. it doesn't fit anyways. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> everything else lookes good except the bipod. so just take off the bipod and the scope. sorry if i sound like a **** but that's just my idea

    Found a nasty bug. The trooper model in the pack's right arm is like half cut off half on, Hang on ill get a pic.

    the thing with that hmg concept is that the trigger arm would have to bend around that drum, just move it to the front and call it sumthing else, like the 'trans system heavy support weapon'
