Where's the lack of justice in shooting someone who enters your home illegally, in most cases to take your things without consent, and mostly likely willing to harm you to get them. People are violent everywhere just face it, and America has some of the greatest personal freedoms. I enjoy being able to be a citizen here and able to completely disagree with the goverment's policies, with the country's corperate infrastructure, protest against things openly, even make indirect threats against the goverment, and after all that still be able to own a firearm. In some countries the first two can get you killed/deported, and the third one can easily get you arrested.
I don't care wether you let me defnd my home with a gun or a sword, I'm doing so with the biggest weapon I can. Not because I'm violent, because I'm protective. Or, at least, I believe people should be able to. I personally don't own a gun and probably never will.

And yes I do know the site is socialist biased.
A: You think they have a gun/weapon
B: If they don't have a gun but they have you cornered
Of cousre, its for a judge to decide if it was self defense or not.
