To those of you who whines that CD crashes when you're playing other mods, obviously you haven't even bothered to browse UA's homepage. On one page it CLEARLY states that CD is not compatible with VAC, so if the server has VAC on and you have CD running, CD will shut down your HL in order to not make VAC give a false detection.
as a side note. the skills required to be a good NS player are not great ammo conservation, m4d head-shot aiming skillz and bhopping. The skills req are teamwork, communication, co-ordination and following orders.
Please do not confuse what some people have posted here as 'skilled players' to mean players who are skilled at NS rather than players who are skilled at FPS games (specifically HL engine games), they are not the same and a different skillset is required, that skillset may overlap in someplaces - like it damn well helps to be able to move about and shoot **** properly, but if you go ramboing off on your own and think you pwn every1, you're prolly gonna hurt your team more than anything else.
Teamwork, Co-ordination and Communication are what will win you the game, not the FPS skills - read the 'Which Bot' thread if you need anything to back this up.
well tbh what counts as skill for me is yelling "2 SKULKS COMING FROM THE VENT when half the team is busy reloading and noticing the base is mowed down, the ability to track down/react/predict the other team, doing something helpful for your team, be silent when needed, "ramboing" when needed (ramboing is for example when the comm asks you to whizz thru enemy lines to hit key structures, not ramboing as you know it) and also having a piece of toughness in a fight also. That is also needed.

I'm not sure about the current situation however. As for putting out more shells... Have you actually done any research on your own here? With my FPS capped down to 30 or so, it takes something like 9.68 seconds for me to empty an HMG on full-auto.... At 100 FPS, it takes me 7.77 seconds. Oh my goodness! I'd say it's in your mind. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> well. darnit. my computer doesnt go above 30 fps in a firefight, and that shouldnt be a handicap. so no, i couldnt test that. and i still think it is downright unfair. 1.1 changelog suggests fps-related issues are being fixed, but this particular issue wasnt mentioned.
2 second difference doesnt sound like a lot, but when youve got an LMG to 3 skulks, it draws the line between living and dieing.
and yes, roob, i had a lot of spellign and grammar mistakes, and yes it was 3 am, and no i dont care.
