ollj, i remember Sheena had the same problem with her seige, you mightwant to look over the QC file aand make sure you've got all 3 rotate coordinates in there...

could u make low poly RTs and OC's(i know theres not much to take off but i was thinking maybe u could take those 3 tentacles or whatever they are off of it.)
Im not gonna cut of the basic geometry. Cutting the junctions of the 3 Turrets legs was maybe already too much. The OC has not much room for getting polygons chopped without loosing shape. Im working on the skulk right now.
