<div class="IPBDescription">Music For No Lives and Sad People</div> I think the all time classic game soundtrack, I'm sure most people will agree upon is the N64's <i>Zelda: The Ocarina of Time</i>. All the tunes were really catchy, and you can't help humming them throughout the day and at school. A musical delight, a delectable audio feast for even the most demanding of ears... Like fine wine and elegant ladies dressed in posh frocks. Or maybe not (ahem).

Anyway, lets talk about games, and their soundtracks, which ones you like, and which ones you used to like but now hate (because some idiot spammed the mic channel with it while you were playing NS).

Has anyone heard of a game called Hardwars? It had a fantastic techno soundtrack, infact, I'm playing it (the music not the game) in my cd-drive. Banging.

Giants: Citizen Kabuto - a very grand-sounding Jeremy Soule soundtrack
Apidya - Excellent side-scrolling shooter on the Amiga, with a fab technoish soundtrack
    Monkey Island 1 & 2 - Nuff said
StarCraft - the terran and protoss music anyway. Brood War's music sounds good too, but I've not gotten far enough in the game to have heard much of it
Imperium Galactica II - Fluffing excellent game, and with a nice atmospheric "ruling the cosmos" kind of soundtrack

Carmageddon - You know, the backround music which plays while you drive. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

i liked most of the music from the final fantasy games.
final fantasy 3 (whatever it is, the one with moogles that are playable and espers <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ) and final fantasy 7 were pretty enjoyable.

I have the Symphony of Hyrule OST (Original Soundtrack) which is all the Ocarine of Time songs done by a full symphonic orchaestra.

Also got 3 cds of Chrono Trigger music

The opening song to Full Throttle is The Gone Jackels - Legacy

Basically if it's symphonic I enjoy it. All of the Final Fantasy Symphonic OST's are godlike, they do Nobou Uematsu the justice he deserves.

    *purrs*

Duke Nukem Theme (Grabbag by Lee Jackson If I recall and you can get it off fileplanet)

    Red Alert - Hell March

Red Alert 2 - Hell March 2 (When it kicked in the RA2 intro I knew this was going to be something special!)

Grandia and Xenogears' OST's are pretty good...I like Guilty Gear X's soundtrack too. And the soundtrack of Final Fantasy Classic for the WSC is great <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> nobuo uematsu = teh r0x

I think the game with the best soundtrack was Xenogears. FF6 (3 here) is a close runner up.

    Turrican (1 or 2)
    Quake (amospheear)

Booya my freind! I love em both so much! I can't count the number of wasted hours I've spent just standing around in my room, listening to Humming the Bassline on an endless loop, perfecting my imitations of all the character's dances. Yes I have no life.

I'll also have to go with Super Mario Bros 3, because of the music for the chalenges, I have ectually made up severall sets of lyrics to go along with the tune, and they all have the word "cats" in them over and over at some point(don't ask)

    FF6, best music.

One of my friends was listening to Megaman music, and I could easily identify both the number and the stages. How sad my life is.

    For music not yet mentioned:

For awhile, I was heavy addicted to the music from MDK2; opening track to Planescape and Sam & Max stick out as well.

Favourite track is probably is probably from Crusader: No Remorse; MODs rule:

    <a href='http://gamemusic.emugaming.com/music/PC/Crusader%20No%20Remorse/Menu.MOD' target='_blank'>Menu</a>
    <a href='http://gamemusic.emugaming.com/music/PC/Crusader%20No%20Remorse/Mission%2001.MOD' target='_blank'>Mission 1</a>
    <a href='http://gamemusic.emugaming.com/music/PC/Crusader%20No%20Remorse/Credits.MOD' target='_blank'>Credits</a>

Oh yeah; STAR CONTROL 2 MUSIC!!!

-then there's also a segment in the Space board theme for Pinball Dreams (Pinball 2000 for PC version), that's never left my mind
-AND THE MUSIC OF IN RUBACAVA IN GRIM FANDANGO!!!
-also liked the Fox and Falcon theme for Smash Bros.
