There are always bases off the beaten path in the game. I mean, Greedo has found an amazing 12600 armour ship that costs $775 000 on a corsair base. To get to it of course requires some bribing, and pisses off the bertonia police. Both Greedo and I are free to roam to outlying areas basically free of attack, but the minute we enter rhineland police or bertonia police areas.... run <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I can think of at least 5 secret bases. One is a Red Hessian one in an ENORMOUS asteroid. It's so big it has a landing scene, just like when you dock on a planet.
There's always at least 1 maybe 2 in each system in the asteroid fields.
It laughed at my rig <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Pah... Freelancer was okay... For the first hour. Despite what requires say, I get by with 128 ddr ram easy. Max all settings, not a single bit of lag. (Then again I'm 1.7ghz so...)
Not much to do in Freelancer. Was definetly a first by microsoft, but it gets boring after you realize there's not a whole lot you can do. Modding is very difficult, but hopefully you can see some good mods for it soon.
Haven't seen you here before. You some kinda newbie?
Oh, well then. I'm an Op for #naturalselection. We don't really run this place, but we have an understanding with the people who do.
I have heard a rumor, if you're interested...
Allright, here's what's goin down:

Yeah, i hate the way its always repeated, you always try and guess what phrase they will say. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Yeah I'll have to add that Freelancer is a sweet game. I was on the beta for it and I must admit we surpassed expectations. People need to keep in mind it's not meant to play as fast and furious ALL the time. Some people enjoy that, but games each need to be different.
Heck, if you like 'fast and furious' you could probably never last playing train simulator. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Anyway, great game if you don't expect non-stop action and like to explore.

Also in the demo in that ship, if you buy a load of Small Arms, the demo ends.
ONe of the easiest ways to find the "hidden" bases is to look at patrol routes. Usually when 3+ converge to one point, look there.

You won't regret it.
"Need something?"
"I, don't know you, you new?"
"Let me see your card"
"Get the hell out of here, I should take you out myself for what you've done"
OR
"You're not safe here"
Target : "I could grind you up without breaking a sweat"
Me: "Ya... No way I hear this every frickin' time"
*5 seconds later*
Target : "ARRGGHHHHHHHH"
Me: "Surprise Surprise"
